Koh Phangan to Bangkok Destination Reviews

RO
It was bought as a direct ferry from Koh Phangan to Kao San, but it was a ferry with a stop in Koh Tao to Champan and after that a bus that stopped for almost an hour somewhere.

They didn’t tell us where we were going when we got off of the boat. They put us onto a shuttle and then on another bus and no one knew where se were actually going. The driver that took us to the bus station drove very recklessly and very fast, kept blinking with the lights and passing cars. I dont know if that was because our boat had a little delay, but regardless that should not be how it’s done. The ac was okay but pretty cold. We didn’t know we were making a stop at a rest point and they just turned on the lights and didn’t tell us whwn we had to be back until we asked. Overall there was a lack of organisation, especially since the boat i guess had a little delay.

On time, well coordinated. The seats can only slightly be tilted which makes it difficult to sleep. The blankets they provided were not washed and had a sweat smell. In the last two hours there was a urine stench coming from the toilet. On the other hand one of the cheapest tickets for koh phangan-bkk route. And I’ve tried the ‘deluxe’ busses which are much more expensive though didn’t provide much more comfort. So I’d say this is good value for money. Stinky toilet and uncomfortable seats are not avoidable iny experience.

Everything was smooth. All staff have been so helpful. VIP bus was enough comfortable with blanket. Rest area was so nice with a variety of food and many toilets. Snack and water were provided on the bus as well.

We arrived in Bangkok 1:15 h late !! 21h45 instaed 20h30.... The day is not enough explained on the ticket. When you arrive at Chumphon after the boat, run to exchange and take your ticket. We were the first ti go out from the boat but we didnt know it. So we were the latest to exchange our tickets: we took the last bus ... and arrived so late ! For the rest its well organized and not too expensive.
