Priscila RAfter the ferry, we took two vans and arrived about two hours later at Surat Thani Bus Terminal. It’s a normal bus station! But the issue started when we went to the ticket counter. The woman at the bus office told us the bus only goes to the Southern Terminal in Bangkok, not to Khao San Road as advertised when booking through 12Go Asia.
Naturally, people started complaining because this information was different from what we paid for. She said there was nothing she could do and that she had just received a message saying eight passengers were booked. Then she became upset and suddenly said the bus would go “anywhere,” which only added more confusion.
After everyone calmed down, she finally printed the tickets for all of us. Overall, the bus itself was fine, but the communication was unclear and the whole experience felt disorganized.

Henri KThe minibus driver was behaving erratically and was angry. I couldn't get on board because the tape to attach to my shirt was missing. However, I had to show the driver my tickets. Finally, he let me on board when the passenger matched the number.
I would not accept this driver's services again.

Janosch SWhen changing from the small bus to the big one, the guides were creating chaos, unorganized queuing, shouting at people for no reason, not answering questions, treating all except VIP very rude. They did not hand Food vouchers to lots of people and did not tell why. When we did the break with the big bus, it was not the usual place with some options for food, it was a small unpleasant small, dirty restaurant where we needed to stay 30mns. When arriving to Bangkok much earlier at 5am there was no announcement before, just lights on and direct drop off, no time for people to wake up. This was the worst trip on that route so far.

Michal KI've done route from Koh Tao to Bangkok and for the price it's excellent service.
You go by boat and after you travel by bus with stop on food. Bus is comfortable.

Serena POverall it was on time. The big bus from surat thani to Bangkok was confortable.
The only problem was the drive from the pier to surat thani in a minivan. The driver was driving like crazy.

Reinhold OIt was bought as a direct ferry from Koh Phangan to Kao San, but it was a ferry with a stop in Koh Tao to Champan and after that a bus that stopped for almost an hour somewhere.
