Jilian AThey kicked everyone off the bus ahead of our stop and we all had to fend for ourselves well away from the destination booked on our ticket.
The bus driver was incredibly rude and aggressive about food/ drink and made us throw away the enclosed food we purchased at the stop. We didn’t see the sign, not his fault, so we complied. However, we ended up seeing a pretty awful interaction between the driver and a family who did bring food. There are ways to handle problems with kindness instead of yelling and shaming people.

Matteo BFrom Sìngapore to Kuala Lumpur. 1 hours longer than expected for passport control at border. We recommend allowing an extra hour for the journey. Otherwise, everything is fine.

Ondrej VHi, we are just married couple from Czechia. We were very afraid od the negative reviews here, cockroaches, beeing left at the boarders etc.
Booked this journey via 12GO app 10 days ahead, didnt read comments and kind a stress the shit of myself day before the journey, when i looked fór infomation about departure,ticket pick up etc And saw the brutal negative comments. Anyway no other tickets left via other company...so we said okeeeey lets go. We booked Singapore -KL on 6/6/26 at 9 AM. We arrived cca 8 15AM, picked up the tickets in Starmart kiosk (yes, the staff wasnt friendly, didnt wanna see my online tickets or whatsoever, just told her my name and she gave me printed ticket for 2pax. But nothing rude, just fat lady doing her job at the counter, just looking at her you know there will be no princess treatment).
Bus arrived AVL6 at 8:55 AM, pleasent surprise to be honest. The "captain" on board managed lagguage space, told me where our seats were and thats it, nothing extra friendly,BUT again...just doing his job. We arrived at the boarders about hour later, pass the boarder control with our lagguages (you need to take everything from the bus), captain counted us when we boarded back and went to KL. Traffic was crazy, it was one big traffic jam on the highway. About 2 hours later we had a break, captain told us 20 minutes, actually it was 30 And we couldnt go back to the bus, so we "enjoyed" local weather. Before KL traffic was super bad, driver couldnt have done anything differently, we arrived 2,5hours late (9AM-4:30PM). I hardly doubt that other company would manage to arrive at schedule due to heavy traffic. (My oppinion). Overall...good experience for only 35s$/person. AC working perfectly, seats comfortable with a lot of leg space (im 6,3', my wife 5,9')clean. There was another tourist couple on the bus, otherwise only locals.
I get the 1 star reviews, if you are used to princess treatment or just unlucky And get dirty bus or just too slow at the boarder and dont have prefilled immigration card. I understood that the bus can only wait at the boarder 30 min, so if you are late he has to go. But you can get on another starmart bus (written on the ticket). Gl to you all, hope the review helps.

Elise We specifically chose this bus because it was advertised as arriving at KL Sentral.
Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The journey ended up being more than three hours behind schedule. While delays can happen, what was most frustrating was that the bus did not even stop at KL Sentral. Instead, passengers were dropped off about 15 minutes away and left to find their own way to the booked destination.
The reason given was a festival in Kuala Lumpur. However, this was clearly known in advance and passengers should have been informed before departure.
The advertised travel time also seems unrealistic compared to the actual duration of the trip, even without big traffic jams. So keep this in mind when planning your travels.
Overall, poor communication, a significant delay, and failure to deliver the booked drop-off location made this a disappointing experience. I would not choose this service again.

Daria SI had a very disappointing experience with Starmart Express on both the trip from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur and the return journey.
First of all, the bus was delayed by around 1.5 hours in total on both trips, which meant we arrived at our destination much later than scheduled. A delay can happen, but the way the situation was handled made it even worse.
About 20 minutes before arriving at our destination — after already being on the road for around 5 hours — a woman suddenly realized she was on the wrong bus. The driver then stopped at a rest area and waited for a Grab for her. Unfortunately, the entire bus had to wait as well. Considering we were already significantly delayed and only a short distance from the destination, I would have expected the bus to continue so the other passengers could at least arrive on time. The passenger could easily have waited for her Grab on her own instead of delaying everyone else even further.
On the return trip, there were also unexpected additional costs for a boarding card that we had never been informed about beforehand. We believed everything had already been paid in advance, so this was another unpleasant surprise.
Overall, the service was poorly organized, communication was lacking, and the repeated delays made the experience very frustrating. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this bus service.
