The booking process was smooth. The ferry and all the staff were wonderful! Upon arrival to Aonang Ñam Pier, the shuttle service was excellent!
Only suggestion is to provide a shaded tent where passengers can wait for boarding. Due to the intense sun. By the time you board you are very, dangerously overheated from the sun and dragging bags and waiting, that was my experience.
It absolutely saved our day (and trip to Koh Phi Phi island) that the operator waited for us because we were a few minutes late (due to our delayed flight). They were very kind at the phone and assured us not to worry and that we would still catch the boat. So thank you so much and would definitely recommend this company!
We should be there at 7:30 am but the check in office opened at 8:00 am. Chaos and our Order was not given to the Operator. But as usual in Thailand, it worked out in the end. The following transfer to Koh Phangan worked perfect.
The check in process was chaotic and we didn’t know where to wait or when to get ready for check in. According to the pdf we had to check in at the resort hotel near the pier but there was a pick up point, too so we had to ask multiple times to make sure we are at the correct spot. The pier was also not safe to walk with heavy luggages…
The actual booking, cost and trip across was easy and smooth. Finding the Railay Eco Tour meeting/check in spot was terrible as there were no instructions at all in the email PDF you get after booking tickets. The signage they have out is poor and was hidden by chairs and a garbage bin. They don’t have an actual stall, just a table that gets set up in an random spot for check in when the employee arrives. I walked right by the meeting spot 3 times because they were not there 30min early as it said to be. Checking in 30 min early is unnecessary as the boat arriving at Phi Phi doesn’t dock until around 11:40lbs the staff member did not arrive until then.
It was a bit difficult to find where to wait on Koh Phi Phi. Also the boat was super crowded, there were people who did not get seats. However the taxi to Ao Nang was better than in the description, they were mini busses actually with air conditioning.
