영어를 완벽하게 구사하는 매표원이 있었다니, 마음에 안 들 이유가 없었죠. 하지만 기차 경적 소리를 좋아하는 사람이라면, 끝없이 이어지는 비포장도로 때문에 1분마다 경적을 울리는 8시간짜리 기차 여행 후에는 그런 취향이 사라질지도 모릅니다. 그리고 저에게는 창문을 열 수 없다는 점도 마음에 안 들었습니다. 베트남에서는 문 윗부분만 열 수 있었는데 말이죠. 그 작은 창문이 주는 짜릿함은 정말 특별했습니다. 기차는 유로스타처럼 아주 느리게 달렸습니다. 좌석은 아주 편안했고, 에어컨도 빵빵하게 잘 나왔고, 화장실도 깨끗하고 현대적이었습니다. 게다가 기차는 절반 이상 비어 있었습니다. 기차 안에 불이 켜져 있어서 어두워지면 밖이 잘 보이지 않았습니다. 하지만 고속열차가 없던 시절의 기차 여행이었으니 어쩔 수 없었겠죠.

직원들의 서비스가 좋았고 소통도 원활했습니다. 기차 여행은 즐거웠습니다. 캄포트에서 약 1시간 30분 정도 지연되었습니다.

기차는 천천히 앞으로 나아가고, 길을 따라 펼쳐지는 시골 풍경은 매우 매력적입니다. 이 기차는 비교적 오래되었지만 에어컨이 있습니다.

버스는 매우 호화로웠습니다. 널찍하고 현대적이며 깨끗했습니다. 화장실도 고급스러웠습니다. 잠자리에서 휴대전화를 충전할 수 있는 가능성이 있습니다. 유일한 단점은 버스 안이 매우 춥다는 것입니다! 충분한 옷을 챙기세요(신발을 신지 않아야 하므로 따뜻한 양말, 따뜻한 바지와 셔츠). 담요는 있지만 따뜻하게 지낼 만큼은 아닙니다.

플랫폼에서의 예약과 체크인은 매우 원활했습니다. 두 대의 기차가 있었고 나는 사람들에게 어느 기차가 켑으로 가는지 알아내도록 요청해야 했습니다. 기차는 대부분의 농촌 지역에서 정말 빠르게 달리고 있었고 티켓에 명시된 것보다 한 시간 빨리 켑에 도착했습니다. 엔진, 바퀴, 경적에서 나오는 소음은 때때로 참을 수 없을 만큼 심했지만, 버스나 택시를 타고 안전하지 않게 여행하는 것보다는 나았습니다. 열차 자체에는 유지 관리가 필요합니다. 창문이 막혔고 선풍기도 고장났습니다.

The train was late, moved at snail pace and stopped and started a number of times outside Phnom Penh and was almost 2 hours late. Getting in 2 hours late at night is not ok. In the interests of passenger safety and motivating tourists and locals to use the train, you need to do much better

Train was very comfortable. Enjoyed my trip rather than going by road , great experience.

I made a mistake and booked the wrong day...so had to buy 2 more tickets. No cancellation allowed with rail.

Excellent service & best way to travel, i really enjoyed the whole train experience, one thing that is needed desperately is a toilets upgrade...they've had their day team. thanks.

Comfortable train ride & arrived nice & early!

As expected the train was delayed by 45 mins for departure, however we artived on tim in Sihanoukville. Seats were comfotable, Ac was working fine. Nothing to complain about!

It was very cold on the train. Even with request to raise temperature, the low temperature remained and we had to endure the cold. We sat next to the door that led to the toilet area and the smell from the toliet went to the carriage and the smell was horrible. We tried to look for another pair of seats but they were all occupied. The worst was the timing. The train was one hour late and stopped multiple times for unknown reasons. We arrived in our destination one and a half hour later. It was quite disappointing!

At first The train had one hour late. We arrived at Phnom Penh with two jours late. Too much slow !!!!!

Easy process to book tickets, would do so again

The train was cancelled it had broken down and a replacement bus service was provided

We didn’t get our confirmation from you and had to pay again, I’ve raised this with you but it’s yet to be acknowledged, the train journey itself was fine

On time and comfortable

Excessive air conditioning. They refuse to give you an extra blanket when you ask. They don't warn you that the beds are doubles and that you might be sleeping next to a stranger 😅

Tickets with seat numbers, but no number on the seats on the train. Only 2 wagons and a lot of people, anybody could sit anywhere, the train was packed. Seats were benches, not very confortable. Only 1 train a day and only 2 wagons is rather surprising. Train arrived 35 minutes late.

It was great experience, everything ok, but so cold, cold that I got sick.

Bus was on time and boarding was nicely managed. Comfy seats (beds), clean blanket amd pillow, save driving, sweet and fun service. Just the AC was killing us in the night and I was too tired to go and ask to turn it down.

Bus from Sihanoukville to Kampot was great. On time both departing and arriving. The staff on board were very helpful. We had booked a 2pm boat to Koh Rong but the staff member on the bus informed us we would arrive in time to take the earlier 12pm boat. We also enjoyed the croissant and water provided on board

Very pleasant journey. The only downside was that the windows were dirty and you could not see outside easily.

Excellent way to travel from Sihanoukville to Kampot. The train was clean and comfortable and was in time. The views from the large windows made for an interesting journey!

The rain came in my place so I needed to change and the bus was not that cleany.

Travelled on one of the new (second hand) air conditioned Japanese trains. Slow but very quiet, clean and comfortable. On board snack bar. Stations are announced in English and Khmer. Nice, peaceful way to spend a morning.

The train hit a person

Bus was on time and everything fine. But 15 min from the start, the bus broke down.. it can happen but after 15 minutes.. then we were happy because they sent another bus (=they are resourcefull) and we loose only 30 minutes BUT, the replacement bus was lot older and didn't have safety belt which for me is a redflag. By chance my stop was 15 min later.. but other passagers had a 10h ride..

Train travelled at about 30 km/h. Took 9.5 hours to cover 250 km travelling at this speed. The horn on the train was being activated every 10 seconds and be the time we got to Phnom Penh the train carriage was so cold we were shivering

Train was a great option for travel between Phnom Penh and Kampot, took 3.5 hours (not much difference to going by road). Only one daily at 7am in a quaint single carriage rumbling through the countryside. Would highly recommend.

The train was more than 1 hour late and we didn't have any message of when he will arrive. Then, in the train, the toilets are really very dirty.

Great trip from Phnom Penh to Kampot. Perfect temperature wagon, seats clean and comfortable and a good experience. Plus they stopped for toilet and snacks. The staff were lovely and I’d highly recommend the train services as a mode of transport in Cambodia.

The seat that I booked was kinda different from the real seat numbers. I wasn't able to either on 7D or D7. Was free seating

The trained arrived 2 hours late, broke down on route, the seating system makes you select a seat but when you get on the train it’s just cause and you get out anywhere, it started raining and I had water dripping on my from a leak, the smell on the train was dreadful

The train from Kampot is great fun ! Although it left a little late it was still a beautiful journey and a highlight of my trip to Cambodia !

Train was over an hour late, we had booked our tickets online and selected seats to sit together but were then told just to sit in whatever seats were free so we had to sit separately. Fabulous views on the train journey and it’s apparently quicker and much more comfortable than travelling from Kampot to Sihanoukville by car or bus because the roads are so bad.

It was the strangest, crazily enjoyable travel experience I think we've ever had. I'm pretty sure the original train must have broken down somewhere so we were late departing but the staff in the station kept us informed. There were mostly foreign nationals making the trip to Kampot and what a trip it was. Firstly the train that turned up was a self powered single carriage machine that we doubted would fit everyone on but it did.. however the poor railway staff did have to sit on plastic chairs bless them. So eventually we set off but the Aircon units on parts of the carriage were leaking water quite badly in places so the staff placed bin bags on the luggage racks to contain the water.. however water was still leaking onto passengers below so bin bags were issued to the affected passengers in an attempt to protect them. We thought we were quite fortunate as our Aircon unit wasn't leaking directly onto us but onto the floor in front of our seats.. Our luck ran out a bit later when we encountered a thunder storm and water was leaking onto us through the partly opened doors and perished window seals.. luckily we had thin plastic raincoats with us so we wore those until we cleared the thunderstorm. The initial journey time given was 1 hour 40 minutes but the journey, with several long stops, took around 3 and a half hours including the train stopping to drop off passengers on a level crossing in one of the small towns we passed through. It was a hilarious, slightly damp experience but one I don't regret in the slightest. All the passengers took the situation with a smile and the staff tried their very best to make us as comfortable as possible. Overall It was a unique but strangely enjoyable experience which we will never forget.

Loved the train
