About

The Southern Kyushu Area Pass offers unlimited train travel in southern Kyushu, including Kagoshima, Miyazaki, and Kumamoto, for 3 consecutive days. It covers the Kyushu Shinkansen (between Kumamoto and Kagoshima-Chūō), limited express trains, and local trains but excludes private railways and the Sanyo Shinkansen.

Southern Kyushu Area Pass Coverage

1. Kyushu Shinkansen: Between Kumamoto and Kagoshima-Chūō.
2. Limited Express: Ibusuki no Tamatebako to Ibusuki and Nichirin to Miyazaki.
3. Local Trains: Via cities such as Kagoshima, Miyazaki, and Kumamoto.

Exceptions:

• Sanyo Shinkansen (Hakata to Kumamoto)
• Private railways and buses

Must-visit destinations
🌸 Kagoshima – visit the iconic Sakurajima volcano, soak in hot springs at Ibusuki, and explore the Sengan-en garden. Take a ferry to Yakushima Island for lush forests and ancient cedar trees.
🌸 Miyazaki – explore Takachiho Gorge, known for its dramatic waterfalls, and visit the Aoshima Shrine located on a small island. Enjoy the tropical vibes at Sun Messe Nichinan and its Moai statues.
🌸 Kirishima – explore the Kirishima-Jingu Shrine, nestled in the foothills of the Kirishima mountains, and hike through the volcanic landscapes. Relax in the hot springs of Kirishima Onsen.
🌸 Ibusuki – famous for its unique sand baths, where you are buried in warm sand for a relaxing experience. Visit the beautiful Chirin Koen Park for panoramic views of the coastline.

• This pass can be used only by rail pass purchasers.
