Quick company intro: Niomit Tour is a bus company in Thailand. The bus company operates from Bangkok’s Southern Terminal and Ranong bus station. Ranong is a small border city in the south of Thailand.
Routes served by Niomit Tour:** There is a daily bus from Bangkok to Ranong that leaves at 9pm and takes roughly 9 and a half hours. The prices depend on the class of your ticket with a choice of VIP and VIP24 and is from THB500 and to THB700. The bus back from Ranong to Bangkok is scheduled to leave at 8pm.
There are two types of coaches available with Niomit Tour: VIP24 and VIP buses that can either accommodate 24 or 32 passengers and offer a range of good facilities.
The VIP24 bus offers passengers a lot of space in terms of seating. Soft reclining seats are comfortable and you can easily sleep in them. At the start of your journey you will receive a pillow and a blanket, plus some light snack and drinks. Food is offered later on during the journey.
All buses are air-conditioned and provide entertainment TV-program which can be an issue as the sound is sometimes too loud.
In Bangkok, Niomit Tour have their headquarters at the Southern Bus Terminal in Bangkok (Sai Tai Mai) on the 3rd floor, where their counter is located. You can buy tickets directly at the bus station or it is also possible to book Niomit Tour tickets online.
Niomit Tour offers great service with clean buses and comfortable seating, whether you are taking the VIP or VIP24 bus.
The VIP24 buses offer more legroom, enough even if you are tall, and are used for the overnight trips between the two destinations with the seats reclining to around 70 degrees.
Stewards on board regularly come round to make sure that everything is OK. They also distribute snack and drinks at the beginning of the journey and later on. Feel free to ask the stewards if you have any special needs – they are helpful and will do their best to assist you.
They also provide sleeping attire like blankets and pillows that make your trip that extra bit more comfortable.
The air-conditioning is just the right temperature and the buses are usually on time and you even sometimes arrive earlier than what is suggested on the ticket.
Do not expect the staff to speak any English. Because of that they may look unfriendly
Always double check the platform number indicated on your bus ticket as it is often changed and you risk to miss your bus!
Try to avoid sitting at the back as it’s hotter and bumpier and some drivers are faster than others when going round windy roads.
Note that at night the lights are switched on every time the bus stops at the bus station en-route, so an eye sleeping mask can come handy if you want to sleep.
Though food is served during the journey – either on board or in a food court as the bus stops, it is just an ordinary rice and curry variety and it can be hard to get a vegetarian dish if you need one.
Keep in mind:
Niomit Tours only night buses – no day buses are available. Travelling by night helps save you the daytime of your journey and is a popular choice in Thailand.
Niomit Tour gets good reviews from the travellers and is recommended. It provides good ratio between the price of the tickets, the level of comfort provided and the time of the travel.
What travellers say
Most of the reviews that we have seen are positive. The possible issues you can encounter is arriving prior to the scheduled time which is sometimes inconvenient if you want to check in at a hotel immediately; and smelly on board toilets which is actually a common problem with many long-distance buses.

Niomit Tour Company Reviews
At 12Go our operators offer three types of service:
Cheap, Fast, Good - but you can usually pick only two of them!
Cheap & Fast won’t be Good. (e.g. buses from/to Khao San Road, local buses or 3rd class trains)
Cheap & Good won’t be Fast. (e.g. VIP trains in Thailand)
Fast & Good won’t be Cheap. (e.g. private limousine services, or VIP24 buses vs Express buses)
Make your choice! Please remember that while we are closely monitoring the services, we are still an agency marketplace. That means we focus on ticketing services and route availability & coverage rather than on the factual seat reclining angle you will get on the bus today.
