A travel operator based in Pattaya offering transfers, airport shuttles and even yacht charters. Glassflower has offices in Bangkok and Ban Laem, close to the Cambodian border, with services to a huge range of destinations available.
Routes Served by Glassflower
Glassflower services do not operate on a set schedule; instead you can hire these vehicles to depart at the time of your choosing. One of the most popular trips is between Bangkok and Pattaya, with passengers able to choose between departing from and arriving into several transport hubs across Bangkok.
You can travel between Pattaya and Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang airports as well as Bangkok city centre. Connections between Pattaya and Suvarnabhumi Airport are priced at THB1,800, with tickets costing THB2,500 to Don Mueang International Airport and THB2,300 to the centre of Bangkok.
Those who are staying in Bangkok and need to head to Suvarnabhumi can hire minivans to transfer them to the airport for THB900, good value if you are travelling in a group as these minivans have capacity for nine passengers which would make it just THB100 per person!
Other destinations from Bangkok
From Bangkok, you can travel with Glassflower all the way to Koh Chang. These transfers are priced at THB5,800 to and from Suvarnabhumi Airport and THB5,900 if you will be arriving into or departing from Bangkok city centre. Connections between Pattaya and Trat (from where you can travel by ferry to Koh Chang) are priced at THB4,500.
Of course, you can also travel to some of the other popular islands in the south of the country such as Koh Samui or Koh Tao. Glassflower offers services between Bangkok and Suratthani, from where you can catch a ferry across to Koh Samui, with the vehicle hire priced at THB12,000. Similarly, you can travel between Bangkok and Chumphon for THB6,900 and then visit Koh Tao.
The vehicles used by Glassflower on all routes are very high quality and likely to be safer than travelling with some private transport operators across the country where the drivers may not be as careful as you would like. Also, travelling on these routes with Glassflower is likely to be more comfortable than using other bus operators where you will cramped onto a bus or minivan. Glassflower is a good option for those who just cannot face public transport!
The option of choosing airport transfers is also useful, especially as this means that you do not have to head into the centre of Bangkok in order to catch further transport to your destination, if you are not planning on staying in Bangkok itself.
The biggest issue with travelling on Thailand’s crowded roads is the threat of delays which is ever present, especially when dealing with the hectic Bangkok traffic. Of course, this is also an issue with all bus operators so if you are on a tight schedule you may want to consider train travel instead.
Keep in mind
All the vehicles that can be hired are VIP minivans which will have a capacity of nine passengers.
The vehicles used are high quality and offer passengers a greater level of comfort than is the case with other transport operators across the country. However, the cost of hiring these minivans will price many travellers out, unless they are travelling in a larger group in which case this can be a good value option. Plus you will have the added bonus of not having to deal with public transport including the crowds at the bus station!
At 12Go our operators offer three types of service:
Cheap, Fast, Good - but you can usually pick only two of them!
Cheap & Fast won’t be Good. (e.g. buses from/to Khao San Road, local buses or 3rd class trains)
Cheap & Good won’t be Fast. (e.g. VIP trains in Thailand)
Fast & Good won’t be Cheap. (e.g. private limousine services, or VIP24 buses vs Express buses)
Make your choice! Please remember that while we are closely monitoring the services, we are still an agency marketplace. That means we focus on ticketing services and route availability & coverage rather than on the factual seat reclining angle you will get on the bus today.
