The price of your bus trip will depend both on the destination and the class of your ticket. Note that not all ticket classes are available on certain routes yet for longer trips there is almost always a good choice of options. Opt for a sleeper coach for the most convenient overnight trip. Sleeper buses are usually equipped with berths or soft reclining seats, feature an onboard toilet and your ticket may also include other perks like snacks or even a lunch. Taking a night bus is also a good idea if you want to save on your hotel room. During the day an express service is often the best value for money as it makes less stops than an ordinary or standard class bus and travels faster. On some routes it may be crucial to choose the right class as, say, an ordinary or second class bus may need some 6 hours to cover the distance the first class or express bus travels in two hours!

Cons of Bus Travel

Intercity bus terminals can be located outside the city centre in the outskirts. It means you will need to calculate extra time and money to get there. In certain destinations getting from the bus terminal can cost you more than you would expect because only a limited number of transportation companies is allowed to serve the route – and prices may be inflated.

During busy weekends or high season buses serving some tourist destinations may run out of schedule and require advanced booking.

While buses are not as weather dependent as ferries, bus trips can also be delayed or cancelled due to bad weather or road conditions – keep it in mind if travelling during certain seasons or to certain destinations.

Svetoslav BThe worst experience of our trip to Uzbekistan. We travelled with All Comfort from Bukhara to Tashkent on 26 September, and the way we were treated was unacceptable.
In Samarkand, a crew member refused to let my girlfriend access her backpack to get her medication. Later, when she urgently needed a toilet because of a health problem, he refused a stop. We understand that a bus can only stop somewhere safe. But there was no effort to find a solution or show compassion—just refusal.
We were told we would arrive in 40 minutes. It took another hour and forty minutes. Delays happen, but that difference matters enormously when someone is unwell and desperately trying to wait. The delay was not her fault, yet she was the one left suffering.
What made this even worse was the crew member discussing us with other passengers and laughing at us. We felt mocked and humiliated for asking for basic help. A passenger’s distress is not entertainment.
After around five hours without a stop, I was also told I could not stand up briefly. If passengers must remain seated for safety, proper breaks become even more important.
They roll out a red carpet when you board, but what is that worth when basic human needs are dismissed once you are inside? We felt trapped and powerless, not like paying passengers being treated with respect.
This was not simply an uncomfortable journey or a late bus. It was a complete failure of care and professionalism. My girlfriend deserves an apology, and the company needs to address its staff’s behaviour, rest stops and handling of passengers with health needs.
Based on our experience, I would not recommend All Comfort or travel with them again.

Svetoslav BMy friend travelled on the Bukhara–Tashkent service on 25 September and reported a disappointing experience. There was only one major stop, in Samarkand, with no further breaks before Tashkent.
On such a long journey, passengers need reasonable opportunities to use a toilet and stretch their legs. These are basic needs, not special requests. Expecting people to go for hours without a break shows too little consideration for their comfort and wellbeing.
The company should schedule sufficient rest stops and clearly explain when passengers can expect them. A service called “All Comfort” should do more to make the journey comfortable.

We were supposed to leave Samarkand at 5:00 PM, but we did not leave until 5:40 PM. The ticket stated that the journey would take 3 hours and 30 minutes, but it ended up taking 4 hours and 20 minutes.
The driving was absolutely terrible — reckless, unsafe and with no consideration for the passengers. The bus was also extremely uncomfortable, so there was absolutely nothing “Comfort” about this service.
But the worst part was the complete lack of consideration when passengers needed to use the bathroom. We repeatedly asked them to stop, but they refused. We spent the entire 4 hours and 20 minutes on the bus without a single stop.
The staff did not speak English, so I translated into Uzbek and explained that I really could not hold it any longer and urgently needed to use the bathroom. The driver literally laughed in my face and told me that we were not going to stop.
This was completely unacceptable. I hope the company takes action regarding this service and the behaviour of its staff, because a company that treats its passengers this way does not deserve their money.

Rebecca FBus was 45 minutes late departing and we arrived 1.5 hours later than we were supposed to so nearly missed our flight. The bus driver also drove like a villain in a Disney movie and I’m shocked we didn’t get in an accident. 2 stars because they did provide sandwiches and water.

Richard EYou bought 2 train tickets and 2 bus tickets for me. Successfully! Thank you. But the bus tickets were slow. It took 2 or more days. It was not a problem, but there was no automatic update during that time. Maybe an email 2 times a day to say... "We are still working on it. We did not forget you." would have been appreciated. It is a nervous time waiting and always checking your site.

Kaneko YThere were several buses at around 3 am. Although I asked the person wearing an ALL COMFORT jacket, he said , looking at my 3 am e-tickethat, this is not your bus, next bus is yours. I showed my ticket to the bus driver and he let me get on the bus. The bus left the bus terminal at 2 :50 earlier than 3 am. The problem is that no one tried to check QR code on the e-ticket to avoid any human error.

Gerlinde HThe overall experience was great. The bus came on time and was very comfortable. The bus terminal in Samarkand was great with options to purchase food and water for the journey and clean bathrooms.
The bus stop in Bukhara was at a market place with the dirtiest toilets thus far on our trip. But there were also taxis available and restaurants.

Amelito SThe bus left on time at 1:30pm and supposed to arrive 5:00pm - it arrived 6:45pm due to the heavy traffic in the highway. The driver re routed in some partially paved road to avoid the traffic - but he was driving crazy, super bumpy ride and honks at everyone who is running slow. He even counter flowed in the highway and “tried to insert the bus into the barriers going to the opposite direction to save time since we are behind schedule. Snacks were only given 30mins before arrival in Samarkand.
As a tourist, I did not feel safe about the services offered by all comfort bus. It was not comfortable at all - atleast from my experience.

Gerda GIt was strictly forbidden to take my laptop in a laptop size bag to the bus, only when an old lady had a same size bag in the bus for a toddler´s stuff and I insisited to talk to the boss, I was finally allowed to take it with me underneath the seat, not above where there wa space, too. Some minutes later, when the second driver passed through the bus he shoutes at me as I had dared to put up my feet a bit to make it more comfirtable in the narrow first row, while a fat man was sitting next tome hanging into my space as there was no handle between us. They gave us water and an ugly wrapped croissant after 4 hours upon arrival in Samarkand, bus went on to Buchara.

Patrick RWhen we arrived at the check-in point there was no bus to be found. We tried reaching the operator via phone and telegram without success. Just through sheer luck we found an employee of Allcomfort but other then "bus is late because of traffic jam" we got no information and no estimate when the bus is comming. There were 3 other busses coming and going to the destination we wanted to go to but for whatever reason it was not "our" bus and we needed to wait for over 3 hours until "our" bus picked us up. So in the end instead of arriving at 23.30, we arrived at 4 a.m. in the middle of the night at some bus stop where we were lucky enough to catch a taxi to our hotel.
The bus itself was very hot and the ride was as bumpy as it gets, so sleeping is not possible. For a company that calls itself "Allcomfort" the comfort was very poorly.
So overall we encountered almost no communication, no reasoning, no accommodation. Would not recommend.

Valeriia MDeparture was from a new Bus Station in Samarkand while in ticket was mentioned other - Old Bus Station that is not working currently. As tourists we were lost at this point, found out about right departure point from our taxi driver.
The trip took approximately for an 1 hour longer than was expected. Also for 5 hours night road we had 0 (zero) stops. So we were on a 5 hour trip without possibility to use bathroom/toilet.
Bus drivers were driving pretty dangerously, considering it was nightime and raining outside.
Also on trip from Tashkent to Samarkand we've been offered with drinks and sandwiches. There wasnt same service on trip back from Samarkand to Tashkent
