Left 10 mins late (from a different location than on the ticket - I called and was told.....no-one called me) and then arrived in Bangkok 30 mins later than advertised despite hardly any traffic disruption
The Win Poo Yai Piak waiting area shown on the booking was not in service. It was actually barricaded and appears not to have been used for quite some time. There was no bus during the time of departure with no warning from the operator. I was finally transferred to another operator 2 hours after I was supposed to depart and only after making several calls to the operator. I would never use Win Poo Yai Piak ever again.
The terminal was unmarked and it was challenging to find the pick-up location. Only after several phone calls to the operator did someone meet us at the terminal and escort us on foot to another location. It was confusing and stressful.
Decent transport to Hua Hin. The van was air conditioned and our driver reliable. About half way there we had to pull off the highway as our break started to fail, and the driver got us safely to a parking lot and within about an hour he had mechanics replace the breaks and we were back on our way. He bought everyone water and made sure we had access to bathrooms while we waited. We arrived safely so all good!
Got different operator. There is no comprehensive explanation because mostly their staff can not speak in English. Also driver was driving very fast. Too fast maybe, unsafe one.
I had to pay 230 thb for my suitcase! There was a family with 2 kids they had to pay for 4 extra chairs for their luggage! Private taxi was cheaper. Never had this before in Thailand! Shame on you!!
Shuttle was 20 Minutes too late at departure and we had to get off the bus somewhere else as booked. But the driver can not speak English, so we had no chance to explain him the problem.
I was booked for 4PM and was offered an earlier departure which I accepted. The trip was comfortable and there was a bathroom break thankfully. However, when he stopped for gas, he asked the passengers for gas money. Why are the passengers having to give money? Isn't the price of the ticket understood to have included gas? Why am I supposed to give him money when I paid on-line? I did not give him any money. There were non-Thai speaking people in the van who did. Is this a scam? Do you not give your drivers money for gas????? This has never happened before . I would suggest you look up the driver that left from Huahin, in front of the Market Village at 3PM on Sunday, the 18th. I think he got quite a tip.
Thank you,
Phyllis Orofino
When I got to the bus station nobody could tell me where to get the van that I booked on line. They sent me to the the ticket office to buy a ticket. When that was resolved my van was overbooked. So I had to get in a different van. Then I had to get someone to shout to the driver that I needed a bathroom break while frantically repeating pee and pointing to my vagina. More importantly got there safely and dry.
