Bus didn’t depart from the intended location so a car was sent to collect us. This was communicated clearly although only on the morning, which was than other bus companies had previously communicated pick up times with us.
We had 3 sleeper bunks booked, one of which had previously been used as the complimentary drinks were left half drunk and not replaced. The service stop half way through the journey was managed well. The journey itself was uneventful apart from the perpetual horn use. Clean and comfortable, shame that the complimentary drinks were not refreshed for me as a new passenger.
The driver on this bus was using his horn constantly, repeatedly. I have traveled on several buses in Vietnam and understand that the drivers use the horn to signal their presence. But this driver was using his horn aggressively towards the other drivers to get out of his way. He used the horn repeatedly and for long periods of time. It made the journey really stressful and difficult to relax.
Overall the service was amazing, the bus clean and we even got picked up and taken to the bus when the route was slightly altered. The space itself was ok. I am 175cm and only just found it reasonable in length. Anybody 180cm or above will feel cramped.
I was going to rate one star but I did eventually reach Quy Nhon. Just before traveling to Cocovip bus station in Hoi An they offered to send a car to my hotel. I thought they were being nice but they drove me 45min in the opposite direction and we stopped at a small outpost off a highway. The driver said the bus would come in 10min.But after an hour I asked him where is the bus and then he stopped speaking. Eventually after twohrs+ a different bus company pulled up and they loaded us on for a 6hr ride that was estimated as 4. The one positive part is the person that I had been speaking with on Whats Ap did respond to my text. I'm not sure if Cocovip has it's own buses or brokers passengers to different buses.
We left early and arrived early which meant we had longer to wait to get into our room and someone was smoking on the bus. There was an operator who was messaging at 19:00 asking where we’re were despite the bus not being due to leave until 20:15.
A good car with enough legroom, everything is clean and looks new, there were no problems during the trip, you can choose a drop-off point, for this price it is a very good option
There was no shuttle at arrive. The people laughed when we arrived and said no free place in the bus. No support from bus drivers and the office was empty at da Nang. We took a grab. Next time I book a different bus company.
During the stop after 6 hours (half time) tourists were not allowed to leave the bus and smoke. Locals were allowed. I didn't feel welcome at all.
Communication with the company was good and the bus was clean however the bus did not stop for a toilet break. Bags filled the aisle making it hard to go to the toilet on the bus. Driving was crazy which meant we had no sleep.
I chose this option because it was advertised as a premium service with departure from central Nha Trang and drop-off at My Khe Beach in Da Nang.
In reality, the experience was very different:
1. Instead of departing from the city center, I was picked up at 18:20 (while the ticket stated ~20:00 departure) and transported by shuttle for about an hour, collecting other passengers, and then taken to a bus station on the outskirts of Nha Trang.
2. At the station, I was not placed on the main bus immediately and had to wait an additional ~40 minutes.
3. The bus itself did not match the “premium” description:
- the cabin was not clean
- one of the air vents was broken and blowing cold air constantly
- there was a smell of cigarette smoke during the trip
- at some point, a passenger was sleeping in the aisle
4. There were no proper sanitary stops during the entire trip.
5. The biggest issue: the bus did NOT drop passengers at My Khe Beach as advertised. Instead, we were left at a parking area on the outskirts of Da Nang and had to arrange additional transportation.
Overall, the service was significantly misrepresented. I would not have chosen this option if the actual conditions had been clearly described.
I recommend 12Go to review this operator and ensure that descriptions match the real service.
Car that took me to the bus station to the west end different location than listed was nice and no problems. He did a good job!
However 10:17 the bus comes...
I go near the middle back to get in a seat but then comes the 2nd worker guy saying I have to sit up front, I said no I dont want to but he is yelling I have to and grabs my bag, there are 3 other foreigners getting on when I did so he said they get to sit in those seats, okay then there's 1 empty seat there and I ask can I sit there?? but the guy on the bus said no no you sit up at the front, but there was an empty one where those 3 people were. I dont know why I wasnt allowed to pick my seat like I have done before... it would be different if there were no other seats but this is not the case there were empty seats. No one else got on at our stop or any other stop after so I could have sat there, I feel like because im a foreigner i was treated this way, i had to listen to the bus driver Honk the horn like every 20 seconds.... its crazy just how much he honks the horn, it gave me a pounding headache listening to that the whole way for 6+ hours, maybe a few patches where he wasnt wailing on the horn. I rode a different bus before further to the middle/back and actually was able to rest a bit. This left a very poor taste about booking with this company ever again. And we are driving south with empty seats... so tell me why I was forced to sit at the front??? Its a shame I wanted to write a nice review as I like the bus, but this reflects poorly when you treat people like this and not even try and listen. Also other local people got off a lot earlier for stops so why didnt they get say up front instead? Makes no sense.
They used Son Tung limousine. The driver wasn't very friendly either just had a scowl on his face when I greeted him taking my shoes off. If your 3 people then sure book this as you will probably all sit together but if your a solo foreiger female you might get forced to sit up front even when there are empty seats and listen to the horn the whole way.
Okay so 2 hours in at 12:17pm a Vietnamese man just got off, why didnt they make him sit in the front just before ga tri binh bus stop, when he had a short ride? He had no luggage underneath.
The bus will stop at 2 places for a pit stop, I didnt get out at the first but the 2nd place i did for the bathroom, be aware its the squat type of toliet. We arrived around 420pm.
I hate to complain I am not one of those people and usually chalk it up an an experience but this was not good. You really need to have nicer people working when dealing with people, I wonder if my review will get posted due to it not being positive. I think id rather take the train again if I can. This was not a good experience.
Got the sleeper bus from nha trang to Hoi An. Very much worth it. Great communication from the operator beforehand via WhatsApp.
Bus was clean and staff were professional.
Note that this night bus has a toilet on board so there were no actual breaks for passengers.
However we did make around 10-15 stops probably for packages. This didn’t cause delay, in fact, we got to our destination 1hour early.
The roads are very bumpy so it can be hard to actually get some sleep.
The sleeper bus itself was comfortable, with spacious seats, Wi-Fi, and a toilet. We got there without any problems, although it was a bit bumpy. But I bought tickets from one point to another, and then the operator wrote that we should not meet at the hotel, but go to the station. When I wanted to get the difference in ticket prices, because there was one, the operator mentioned that they had a free shuttle service. So they provided it from Nha Trang. But in Da Nang, when they left us at the station, I asked if there would be a transfer to my final destination, and the bus driver told me to use Grab. And the operator did not respond to my messages at all.
They don't drop us at mien dong bus station, they drop us to another station which is far from where our hotel was and that's concern of every traveller who travelled with us.
There were 5 men who sat in the aisle so you couldn’t go to the toilet without jumping and climbing over them. When I went the toilet they took my bed and layed in it. They layed there for 2 hours in the bed with all my stuff in it when I sat with my friend.
* Many stops for picking up some strangers (sitting at the floor, when the police come they were hidden with another person in a cabin)
* one stop for picking up many boxes of chicken (in the trunk)
* just one Toilette stop
* Arrival location is different than communicated on the ticket (much further away -> have to take a more expensive taxi)
* the driver was smoking during the drive (it smelt)
* much too expensive
Pickup point changed, drop off point changed, departure time was delayed 1 hour, my first ticket was canceled the day after booking, we were assigned seats 3 times. The cost of my ticket was $160 usd for the two of us and we received the sleepers next to the bathroom. My first tickets were $54 usd. Communication was good with Coco VIP but was never told the drop off point until we arrived at the bus station. Clean bus. Nice sleeper. Great help onboard with assistance.
An hour early.
A difficult driver who talked and coughed loudly the entire journey. The bus was on time, but it was difficult to sleep.
But the Ticketststion and counter was comfortable
The Bus left at 6pm instead if 8pm so we arrived at 5am which was not great.
And they tried to give us the smallest compartments. There was a guy from the company watching loud videos right next to us until 10 pm.
Quite an unpleasant experience. One positive was that the seats were quite comfortable, although not quite enough in length. The driver drove like an absolute madman, overtaking other buses around corners, honking the horn all night. His driving was so erratic my partner didn’t sleep all night and was terribly ill. He also stopped countless times to pick random things up? And also multiple stops to have cigarettes where my girlfriend told me that he wouldn’t let anyone else off the bus. Your customers should be your #1 priority, and we felt very bad about the service.
bad communication on pick up and taking us to different location without explanation. night before text to say there was unexpected price increase and made us pay additional fee to the driver. Rude staff on the bus. I would recommend looking at alternative companies and avoid this one. The bus was not what was depicted in the image when booking on 12go
The trip went well. It's quite spacious inside, and it matches the photos on the website. My husband, who is 182 cm tall, fit diagonally. That's what we planned. There's a blanket and water, Wi-Fi, a phone charger, and a working toilet. It's best to dress warmly.
The driver drove like a maniac, and couldnt keep hos hands of the horn. Constant honking even though there wasnt other Vehicles around. Had to wear the seatbelt just to not fall out of the bed when he was driving.
Arriving at the starting office we were told to wait a little bit. The pick up was 20 minutes late. We were not told that there would be a car transfer half the way to Da Nang ( totally opposit direktion). We were 5 people to be picked up. The car only fit 4 people (luggage of 20 kg per person
was included in the booking). They wanted two of us to get out of the transfer car because we didn't all fit in. So the transfer was late and they just tried to smile problems away. After the 20 minutes drive in the wrong direction we had to wait another 20 minutes for the bus to finally
arrive. The 5th passenger arrived with another car. So finlly the bus arrived and the ride started an hour late. The seats were reserved and the seats were comfy. The bus drove pretty fast with lots of honking. The driver wasn't friendly. After about one hour there was a stop. The bus had to
be repaired. There were toilettes , pretty poor, no utilities and no place to wash hands. Then we drove on. The second stopp was just a 5 minute stopp. We were rushed about, dirty toilettes and no utilities again. There was no more stopp for the rest of the way to Quy Nhon. Finaly we
arrived with almost 2 hours delay at a different place called out in the booking. So we made a reclame and a very very unpleasent van driver brought us to the right place. We made a vip luxury booking. This is a big betrayel of the travel agency and 12go as the mediator is responible. We already have a lot of traveling experience in South-East-Asia but this was our worst experience.
Very good, arrived earlier than expected and actually slept a good while of the 10 hout journey, although transfer minibus was chaotic, get on/get off, etc
Terrible service (although we were allowed to store luggage-but no receipt…) not willing to share their phone number (which we then saw on the counter). When arriving an hour and 15 min early. We were rushed to the bus-stressing about loading luggage immediately. We had planned to take out a jacket, go to rest room… Not checking our seats-laid people randomly in the bus. No safety instructions/belt reminder (mind you the trip is wobbly and road work is not comfortable in the middle of the night!). TV not working and no info what so ever from the driver, who of course didn’t speak much English. Upon arrival by a random spot in Nha Trang 1,5 earlier than what we’ve booked and planned for. All passengers finally picked up by a minivan fre of charge, to the city center-something none of us had been informed about why some passengers took “ a grab taxi”.
urned out good drop off but way to early why this became a hassle with luggage…
Having travelled with other really well organised bus trips in Vietnam -we DO NoT recommend this company.
We had an excellent trip with Cocovip. Great communication, clean bus, safe driving all good. Would recommend 10/10! They even picked up us at our hotel and drove us to the bus. Super Nice!
