As usual 12go arrangements and ticketing were excellent. And on this occasion so was the journey to Phnom Penh. Unlike the outward journey..'mad max of a driver on a whacky races race track' type, the return journey was safe, sensible and, as most time and motion analysts would attest to, was no slower in journey time. The driver even dropped us off at a stop of our choosing. Cautionary note to all travellers, keep your valuables with you at all times, especially during toilet and refreshment breaks when leaving the bus. A couple suffered the loss of cash and cards and the other contents of their bag ie passports slung across the bus after leaving valuab l as behind at a toilet stop.

The boat left 30 minutes late. The crossing was very rough and I'm surprised they took such a small boat. It didn't look like they had enough life jackets for everyone. Take Island Speed Ferry's larger catamaran.

The trip was supposed to take 30 minutes. The scheduled departure time as checked on the pier was 15 later than in the app. The boat was late another 45 minutes. And it left us in a completely different place. There was a bus provided, but it took another 30 minutes to ride. Overall we were 1.5h later at the destination. On the good side: the boat actually arrived and there was a bus.

The journey was fast and smooth however waiting at the pier was terrible. The staff didn't work English and also didn't seem to interested in helping us. We had to keep trying running over to the boats to see if it was our one.

Lack of organisation, there is no info about the place of departing. Still, the pier is small and if you keep asking you will find the place (there are about 8 places for departure on the pier). The lady from transport company GCTV, not helpfull at all, just interested to sell tickets. She didn't know where we should wait for the boat.

Unsere 8:30 Uhr Fähre, wie gebucht war nur ein kleines Boot. Nicht alle hatten Platz und so mussten wir mit weiteren Leuten, auf eine neue Fähre warten. Aus den angesagten 10 Minuten, wurden mindestens 30 Minuten.

The ferry was fast and all went well. We had to leave from another port (due to weather reasons), and this port is not in the city centre, so a bus was organized to get there. However, on the return, we arrived to the same port (outside the city) and this time no transport was there to bring to city centre. We tried asking the people but no one responded anything.. Not a big deal, but..
