Zagreb to Split Destination Reviews

Today I had the displeasure to take a trip from Zagreb to Split at 3:00 a.m. When we arrived, we encountered an old guy that made us pay 82,3€, which we think is unreasonable, to put our baggage inside the bus, despite having two luggage pieces included for free in our ticket. His companion had a card reader that said 1,3€ for piece, but the scammer made each person pay a different price for their luggage, despite the suitcases being identical. The prices ranged from 0,30€ (because the passenger did not have enough cash) to 10€ for piece, because the first passenger tried to pay for everyone with 50€ but the man only let 5 people keep their luggage inside. We tried to reason with the man, but he could not speak english and refused to use a transator, he also threatened to leave us stranded in Zagreb, and even got violent at one point. I know it may be hard to believe, and also impossible to prove, as he made us pay in cash, but there are around 20 victims affected by this scam

Thank you for your understanding.

Hvala!!!

We travelled from Zagreb to Split. The bus was on time and there was a stop halfway so we could stretch our legs. The bus driver tried to scam some young boys who were travelling on the same bus. We heard them as they boarded say 60 euros was high for the luggage, we told them we paid 3 euros and they approached the driver who then gave them their money back.

Better than the others. Easy to buy a ticket. Most comfortable ride. Interior like-new. Spacious overhead storage. Smooth suspension.

It would have been nice to have a possibility to charge my cellphone. The ride as a whole + the place approximately halfway, where the bus stopped for coffee/quick lunch + toilet. The landscapes. The lack of phone charging possibility.

The road to Split. The rest stop allowed us to stretch our legs and use the restroom. And buy some snacks. The road seems to be in need of serious repair. Quite a bumpy ride!
