Bangkok Airways Announces Flight Suspensions and Changes

Bangkok Airways, Thailand-based regional airline and the country's first boutique airline, will decrease flight frequency and terminate service indefinitely on selected routes as a response to the decrease of passenger demand.

While the airline in based in Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi airport, it also has its own airport on Koh Samui and is the only Thai airline that offers direct flights to Koh Samui from other destinations in Thailand including Bangkok, Phuket, Pattaya, Krabi and Chiang Mai

The domestic routes that are affected by the changes include:
BangkokSukhothai
– Samui–U-Tapao
– Samui–Krabi
– Samui–Phuket
Bangkok–Samui
BangkokChiang Mai
Chiang MaiKrabi
KrabiBangkok

International routes with cancelled flights or an amended schedule include:
BangkokPhnom Penh (Cambodia)
BangkokSiem Reap (Cambodia)
BangkokMumbai (India)
BangkokDa Nang (Vietnam)
BangkokYangon (Myanmar)
BangkokMandalay (Myanmar)
Bangkok–Nay Pyi Taw (Myanmar)
BangkokMaldives
– Samui–Hong Kong

Please note that not all flights on the above mentioned routes have been cancelled; on certain routes the number of the flights have been reduced while the route itself remains on the airline's network map. For the updates please revert to the airline's website, call centre or any office nationwide and overseas.

Also, suspended indefinitely are the routes from Bangkok to Chiang Rai, Mumbai (India), Vientiane (Laos), Phu Quoc (Cietnam) and Cam Ranh (Vietnam).
