The bus was scheduled to depart at 9:00 PM, so—following instructions—I arrived at the station 30 minutes early. The bus to Sapa was indeed parked there, but nothing was happening at 9:00 PM. By 9:20 PM, I was getting very anxious about the lack of activity, so I knocked on the bus door. A sleepy driver opened it, looked at my ticket, and said a different bus would be taking the trip. So, I kept waiting. I walked around the entire station looking for another bus to Sapa, but saw nothing. A short while later, another bus arrived; I ran over to show my ticket, and they let me on board. The whole wait, with no up-to-date information, was exhausting. I was also bothered by the fact that the bus didn't announce restroom stops. I had to stay alert so I wouldn't miss one, so I chose not to sleep.
They changed pickup location the night before. Bus did not arrive on time. No contact from the agent to explain it was late or even confirm where we getting picked up. Dropped off in the middle of the highway, Literally got out in traffic and had to run to the walkway on the other side. Honestly I would have rather paid for a taxi. Bus staff impolite. Welcome to Vietnam
i wished the bus goes to the airport instead ofna few km away. the ticket should tell me the gate and terminal and how to get to the bus station or train station with a map.
The bus departed on time but picked up multiple people on the way on random stops. This lead to a delay of over 1.5 hours - we booked the connection as it was supposed to be the fastest which definitely was not true. In addition we did not stop for a toilet break for 5 hours. I cannot recommend that operator.
The bus was nice and they had wake up service for our stop. The toilet at the stop had a fee and we got dropped some km from the airport which brings down the score.
The staff were great and helpful. I wish vietnamese people were more conscious when they travel with other people, lots of people yelling to talk, really rude but the service was great.
The communication and transport worked out great. The speed and space were more than I expected even though it was fully booked. The only little point to mention: there is a change of cars at a small station in Hanoi where you need to wait - that’s a bit waste of time. But overall it was a good experience that I can recommend…
The driver arrived 45 minutes late, without any advance warning or relevant update, so it made me worry if the route had been cancelled. Also, they did not drop me off at tne point I paid to be dropped off (as per the 12go website). It was not possible to charge my phone on the bus.
The pick up point was inside a bus station where we had to pay money to get in. We were picked up and drove 1 min to change to another car. It would have been much easier and cheaper if the pick up point had been there to begin with, so that we didn't have to pay for entry to the bus station and change cars. We changed cars and sat down, but after 5 min they suddenly said we had to move to the back of the car and wanted us to move seats while the car was still driving.
Experience was bad .. Bus was supposed to reach ha long at 4 and we ended up reaching at 6.30.They had to change the engine oil and fill fuel and all during the trip
