Overall trip was ok but they advise you to come 30 minutes before departure. At the end noone came at correct time. We departure late from original time 30 minutes later. So overall we waited 1h
I've bought the ticket for fast bout at 8. The lady at the "reception" told me "it leaves at 8.30": what?? Ticket for 8 o clock and she says at 8.30? Why?? Then, we left at 8.50... bad! 50 minutes late!
The people at the desk didn’t speak English and put us on an earlier bus that stopped at a different boat pier. We then had to walk. Since they didn’t speak English they did not explain that. The bus was making al kind of noises and didnt feel save
It seemed we bored for minivan including the boat but when we arrived in Rayong we had to buy a extra ticket for the boat so the info wasn't specific about that. To went further well
There was some confusion at the pier between the transfer from the bus to the speedboat. But it was sorted out quickly with no further issues. All in all the experience was a great value for the money, and I would recommend it.
Abysmal. Our three-hour bus ride started an hour late (this is understandable, given Bangkok traffic and other factors) but then took four hours, mostly owing to the inevitable collection and drop-off of additional passengers at off-route spots. At one point, we waited on the shoulder of a highway after our driver inexplicably disappeared, eventually to be replaced by another driver (shift change, perhaps). So many stops!
All of which led to our missing the ferry leg of our journey. We whipped out the PDF, naturally, and this got us ... Nothing. Had to purchase fresh speedboat tickets
Very good. But seats are not numbered. Van departed 40 minutes later than time scheduled on 12Go. Nobody told me anything until arriving at 12, I look the ticked exchanged at the booth of the company.
Everything went smoothly, everyone was super helpful along the way. The bus was very comfortable and we had one pit stop along the way which was perfect.
Because the Bus was way too late, about 1,5 hour and we missed the last ferry in Ban Phe that was to bad. We hat to stay in Rayong overnight. But the Bus drive was ok and the Bus driver was friendly. It was just about the Bus was much too late.
It was hard to find the bus check-in location outside Ban Phe Pier premises.
But I was able to get off at BTS Onnut station instead of Ekkamai bus terminal.
Thank you:)
I have travelled a lot from Bangkok to Ban Phe and it has usually been by what we call in UK a Minibus, which can be a little cramped. However this is the first time I have used this company and found it reasonably priced cost in GBP around £9:00. The trip took just over three and a half hours which again was not too bad. I plan on using them again to go from Ban Phe to Ekkamai.
The minibus is not very confortable and we didn't stop to go to the toilet during several hours. The driver don't speak english. At arrival, too fast. The price is okay for the service which is convenient.
we got to counter 12, got our tickets and then looked for our bus. the Driver was really nice. arrived at the Pier later than expected, at the Pier we had to get a ticket for the speedboat (we were shown the way by three ladies). the speedboat ride was short. and we had a toiletbreak on the way from bangkok to the Pier
We booked a mini bus, a sim very tall. We got a mini van , (exactly what I didn’t want )
The driver was fairly rude, shouting at cars out of the window, ( and at one poor passenger who didn’t know whether it was the correct bus for him , mainly because it was a van, not a bus )
Hustled at the other end to buy a return speedboat ticket, which i didn’t need, but she lied about the prices…
The journey was fine because ethe passengers were nice. The driver drove like. A lunatic (another reason I didn’t want a van, as they usually do in my experience)
One hour delay, some stopps I couldn't understand, not enough space in the mini bus. Too crowded. Better take a normal bus. So there is more space for the luggage.
Getting tickets to Rayong was fine, except we were downgraded to a smaller van than the original bus we had booked and payed for. It was more difficult on the way back, the people at Nadan pier at Koh Samet seemed confused about our 12Go booking and we waited an hour for a boat, which should have taken 20 minutes.
The bus was easy to find - I just showed the lady my phone and she gave me the ticket and told me to go to number 15. The driver of as very nice but the bus was actually more like a van, was super comfortable and there wasn’t much room for my monster suitcase (but that’s on me). The only thing I had a problem with was once I got to the pier, I realized I didn’t get my ticket for the boat from the lady so I had to pay for a boat ride and there was almost no room. In fact, there wasn’t enough room so we had to wait for the next boat and it was really hard to get my big suitcase into the boat but we did it all in all. It was worth it because it worked, was on time, and it was super cheap to get to a remote island.
The ride took at least 1 hour longer than expected, because the driver kept stopping at places to pick people up and drop them off. It said nowhere that the bus would stop at all these places. One place was even quite a detour from the fastest route (on google maps), so we had to turn around and get on the correct route again, which took at least 20 minutes.
The bus is okay, if you are lucky to not get the last row of seats, which are 25% smaller than the normal bus seats. There was airco and usb points for charging. The bus also didn't go faster than 80 km/h so this slowed the journey down too.
It's too bad that taking a direct taxi is 10x more expensive, otherwise I would recommend that.
At banphe pier it wasn't clear where to go and the person who welcomed us was not clear that she belonged to 12go. Maybe an identity card or something else would be usefull
Bus started in time, bus was clean and well maintained; driver did a good job. Only the communication at Ban Phe could be improved. We had to wait for about 30 minutes and had no information at which time the ferry/boat will leave - but finally we arrived 👍
It was really confusing at the Busstation Ekkamai, because we first didn‘t know, that the sent Ticket via Mail had to be „traded“ at the Ticket Office - there, it was very hard to find out to Go to which Counter… but a Lady from another Counter helped out to find the Right one!
The Bus Drive was really comfortable and we Even made a Toilet-stop.
At the Pier we got another paper-ticket and had to wait some minutes, till we got in the Speedboat.
Beside the confusion at the beginning, everything was really convenient and easy .3708124423914E+24;
