Koje su klase i cijene vlakova Taiwan High Speed Rail ?
Ovisno o duljini Vašeg putovanja i Bašim željama, možete odabrati kartu prvog ili drugog razreda u vagonu za noćenje ili se odlučiti za tvrdo ili meko sjedalo, ako je dostupno. Imajte na umu da izbor klasa karata ovisi i o ruti i o duljini Vašeg putovanja. U osnovi, Vaš vlak može imati ležajeve prve klase, ali nećete moći rezervirati jedan ako se vozite samo kratku dvosatnu vožnju. Općenito, ležajevi u drugom razredu dobar su izbor za duža putovanja, a meka sjedala će Vam biti dostatna ako bi Vaša vožnja vlakom trebala trajati manje od 4-5 sati.

- Najbolja stvar kod putovanja željeznicom je da nema prometnih gužvi. Čak i u špici, dugim vikendima ili tijekom vrhunca sezone
- Jednostavan proces online rezervacije – ne morate ići na željeznički kolodvor, što je ne tako davno bio slučaj na mnogim mjestima!
- Cijene karata za vlak obično su pristupačnije u odnosu na zrakoplovne, ali za određena odredišta i putovanja ukupno vrijeme putovanja može biti gotovo isto
- Dok je putovanje željeznicom očito sporije od zračnog putovanja, željezničke stanice se često nalaze u centru grada, što Vam štedi puno vremena da stignete do/od tamo, dok su zračne luke gotovo uvijek prilično udaljene od grada
- Noćno putovanje omogućuje Vam uštedu na hotelskoj sobi i istovremeno dobro spavanje – suprotno noćnom autobusu, gdje je čak i klasa spavanja veliki kompromis
- Na određenim rutama dostupna je luksuzna usluga
Nedostaci putovanja vlakom
- Za dulja putovanja vožnja vlakom definitivno oduzima više vremena od putovanja zrakoplovom.
- Vlakovi voze prema rasporedu, ali zakašnjenje nije neuobičajeno za putovanja vlakom – a kašnjenja mogu biti ogromna, pa ako planirate vezu s Vašim letom, pažljivo provjerite vrijeme kada Vaš vlak stiže na stanicu i dvaput razmislite.
- Čistoća je ponekad problem s kartama za drugi i treći razred, a također i s WC-om.
- Ako vaš vlak puno staje, u nekim je slučajevima teško shvatiti kada treba sići, jer stajališta nisu uvijek jasno najavljena ili označena, osim na elektroničkom ekranu.

Roger MI'm foreigner in Taiwan, so my tickets were valid. My gf is Taiwanese, her tickets were not valid. We lost $100.. You should communicate it more clear on top that this page is only for travellers and not for local people. I've overlooked it. Maybe mark it red for better visibility

Corianne Very easy to exchange the voucher into the ticket - no lines in the middle of a work day and I went the day before I wanted to travel. When exchanging I could still pick a new time and date, and they asked if I wanted to reserve a seat, which I did. Train journey was great and all signs in English, so you don’t have to worry about not understanding.
It seems though that by booking through 12go Asia I did not book a specific ticket to go on this specific train, as at the ticket counter I could still change the date and the time. This was not clear from the 12go Asia site - they make it appear as if you book a specific train (like when you book a train in Europe). The only thing you basically do is get a voucher to get a train ticket. I’m not sure what the added value is of 12go Asia here if they don’t reserve anything for you. Next time I will probably just buy at the ticket counter at the Taipei Station.

Ali Trıp was good. Personnel was helpful. One comment: It takes long time to wait in ticketing lines to exchange the voucher for a ticket. Also, the personnel cannot easily locate the reservation number on the voucher : If you cannot come up with a common format so that the MSRT personal will be instantly familiar, at least you can have the code printed in big size at the top of the voucher to attract the attention. Thanks.
