The staff from start to end were really helpful and the bus felt quite new. We were given water and snacks and appreciated that staff would use translate to keep us updated on the journey, but the cabin felt shorter than others and the chair didn’t fully recline However, the pick up and drop off were not as advertised on 12Go Asia, meaning we had a long shuttle bus both sides and not that long in the cabin. We left 10 mins early and arrived 2 hours early! Meaning we got to our destination at 4am which was not ideal. Would be better to manage expectations with a more realistic time estimate.

The bus was clean and the ride was good but the way the company manages everything is so poor and the bus driver was extremely poor and kept yelling even though we couldn’t understand anything coz of language barrier.

Nha Trang - Ho Chi Minh City. Pick-up location was changed to close to the train station. Where we got picked up an hour late. Bus itself was okay. However, we took a very slow route and stopped often to deliver packages. We arrived 2,5 hours later than expected in Ho Chi Minh City, because we stopped often and took slower routes. The drop-off location is also different than told. We did not get dropped of at a SDT office in the city center, but at a bus station outside the city. Do not recommend.

The bus itself looked convenient and well-equipped, however, the sleeper areas badly needed cleaning, there was dust and hair everywhere, especially in the corners! The driver made zero effort to make the ride smooth and safe – the journey felt quite the opposite, me and my husband were constantly worried about falling off the top level. But the most terrible thing is that we were not dropped off at the designated station. Instead, the staff member told us to get off in a spot which looked like the middle of nowhere without explaining anything and got back in quickly, after which the bus took off immediately. It was the shoulder of a busy highway, we could barely see anything besides the lights from the speeding vehicles and motorbikes. Turned out that the bus station was on the opposite side but still very far, while crossing that highway was definitely dangerous and therefore not an option. As far as I understand, the bus was supposed to take us to the very bus station and not to some random spot more or less close to it! I assume, this was done because the bus was already running late and we do not speak the language, unfortunately, so we couldn’t really object. We did eventually find a way out and had a pleasant stay in Vietnam’s biggest city, but this experience was still frustrating, and such an attitude to passengers is nothing but unprofessional!

My girlfriend went to the toilet at night and her socks were drenched in pee. We were supposed to go to Ho Chi Minh center but somewhere in the outskirts we were woken up by people screaming at us that we had to go out. They were so pushy that we ended up forgetting stuff in the bus because of all the stress. After we were put in a minivan that went to pick up and drop off all kind of things in the city before they finally dropped us off in the center.

I can only recommend a trip on the Hanoi-Saigon Express to anyone. Our carriages were old but clean. Air conditioning worked. We were traveling during the day and therefore did not book a sleeper. Was a decent leather seat. It was a bit of a shame that the windows were probably condensed from the previous night journey and then expired. Difficult to photograph. Some of the windows can be opened at the top. I asked the train attendant. Window open and then shot video. I was even allowed to take photos inside the locomotive. Just ask passengers if you want something. They don't know the word "no" in Vietnam. Food is brought to the seat every hour. Hot water comes out of the kettle. A little tip on the approach to Ho Chi Minh City. On the left-hand side in the direction of travel, there is a great view of the city across the Saigon River. I also spent an hour or two in the rather rustic dining car. After ten minutes we had a cool international group together. It was great fun. All in all, a clear recommendation.

Alles in allem klare Empfehlung.

It would be great if the daytime berths could be neutralized to accommodate the 4 passengers below.
During the day, you don't always need to sleep.
