Dalat Hotels, Hostels and Resorts

[Dalat](/en/vietnam/dalat] has an extensive range of hostels, guesthouses and hotels with prices starting as low as USD5 at some backpackers.

The winter months are known as the off-season due to less tourists and most places will bring their prices down because of this but during the peak season it will get busy and we advise you to book up early. Most places are clean and comfortable with the best value for money accommodation found away from the tourist centre where the market is located. Having said that there are always hidden gems and here are some places that we suggest to check out.

Budget

We found that the majority of backpacker hostels were located around 10 minutes from the city centre with Ha Huy Tap Street, Hai Ba Trung and Hai Thuong having the largest clump of places to select from.

Dalat Backpackers Hostel is found on Ha Huy Tap street and has very clean and spacious rooms, that range from private rooms to 10 bed dorms. The hostel has excellent internet and the owners will go out of their way to make sure you have the perfect stay. They offer various tours and activities and the price includes breakfast and there is a kitchen for you to use. Prices range from USD5-20.

Other hostels to check out include Mr Peace backpacker’s house (USD6-25) on Hai Ba Trung and Dalat Easy Friends Hostel on Hai Thuong (USD5-10).

There are also cheap hotels to pick from including Les Sapins 60 Hotel, which has clean rooms unlike many other cheap hotels. There is internet, a bar, café and rooms are around USD12-20 and it can be found on Truong Cong Dinh Street.

Other cheap hotels we noted were the Dreams Hotel (USD20/double bed) found on Phan Dinh Phung street which has facilities like saunas and hot tubs and Van Anh Hotel (USD20/double bed) on Di Bui Thi Xuan, which has good reviews all round.

You will find the student centre around Di Bui Thi Xuan and this street has a good selection of cheap hotels.

Mid-range

The mid-range hotels seem to be concentrated around the same areas as the low budget ones as we have said already as well as some closer to the market.

Most places offer quality service, have modern amenities and adequate facilities that easily match any standard 3 star hotels.

If you head to Phan Dinh Phung street, you will find the Thien An Hotel and the rooms there are private, clean and spacious including the bathrooms and has internet. The rooms here vary from USD15-40.

Other hotels that we thought were good for their value were Vietsovpetro Hotel on Hung Vuong street, which is around USD44 for a room and is designed with a classic European format.

Another is the Empress Hotel found on Nguyen Thai Hoc street, which offers a peaceful stay and has a romantic atmosphere with prices starting from USD40.

Top end

The most luxurious hotels that Dalat has to offer are some of the best in the country with excellent attention to detail, high quality service and brilliant facilities.

The hotels that we noted were found scattered around the lakes and a few minutes ride from the city, which provide exceptional views. These included the Dalat Edensee Lake Resort found on Tuyem Lam Lake, which has a great variety of rooms with either a stunning garden views or outstanding mountain views as well as king beds, huge TVs and a mini bar. Prices start at USD130.

Other hotels we suggest are The Dalat Palace Heritage Luxury Hotel on Tran Phu as it is the only 5 star hotel in the city and has a golf course, tennis courts and spa with prices starting around USD150.
