Da Nang Airport Terminal 2 welcomes first international arrivals

Vietnam’s Da Nang Airport officially inaugurated a brand new passenger building on Tuesday. A spokesperson said that passengers arriving at and departing from the airport on either Vietnam Airlines or Jetstar Pacific flights would now use Terminal 2.

The statement carried on by saying the new building is beside the original terminal and that 22 check-in counters had been opened, but more could be installed when passenger numbers justified it. The new terminal together with ongoing work on runways and aircraft taxiways will give the airport annual passenger handling capacities of 13 million in three years.

Terminal 2 will be dedicated to international airlines while domestic flight arrivals and departures will still be handled at Terminal 1. Vietnam Airports Corporation managers explained last year that the new terminal would allow for growth in demand for flights to central Vietnam.

Da Nang Airport is the nation’s third international gateway and is in a prime location for easy access to Da Dang itself, beautiful My Khe Beach, Hoi An and Hue. 12GO ASIA offers advance reservations on flights and trains to Da Nang from locations including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Bangkok.
