Hoi An to inaugurate electric shuttle services from main bus station

Provincial authorities in Quang Nam have given the green light for Hoi An to launch shuttle services from the town’s bus station. A spokesperson for the People’s Committee said all the council in Hoi An had do was acquire the necessary vehicles and launch the service.

The spokesperson continued by saying the first electric shuttles could be waiting for passengers at Tan An Bus Terminal as soon as 1 January. Once the services are up and running properly, they will operate between 06:00 and 22:00 every day.

The electric cars will be available for transfers to and around the Hoi An’s UNESCO designated Old Town as well as to beach locales such as Cua Dai and An Bang. The town’s planners have estimated they will need 50 electric cars to provide adequate cover during service hours.

Electric shuttle taxis have already been introduced in other Vietnam tourist destinations including Hanoi and Da Nang and have proved a popular transportation option. Travelling long distance in Vietnam is most convenient when choosing 12GO ASIA.
