Welke busklassen en prijzen biedt Sima Express?
De prijs van je busreis hangt af van zowel de bestemming als de klasse van je ticket. We willen je erop wijzen dat niet alle ticketklassen beschikbaar zijn op bepaalde routes, maar voor langere reizen is er bijna altijd een goede keuze beschikbaar. Kies voor een slaapbus voor de meest comfortabele reis met overnachting. Slaapbussen zijn meestal uitgerust met ligplaatsen of zachte stoelen met verstelbare rugleuning, hebben een toilet aan boord en je ticket kan ook andere extra's bevatten zoals snacks of zelfs een lunch of avondmaaltijd. Een nachtbus nemen is ook een goed idee als je wilt besparen op je hotelkamer. Overdag is een expresbus vaak het voordeligst, omdat deze minder vaak stopt dan een gewone of standaardklasse bus. Dit betekent dat je sneller op je bestemming aankomt. Op sommige routes kan het van cruciaal belang zijn om de juiste klasse te kiezen, want een gewone of tweede klas bus kan bijvoorbeeld 6 uur nodig hebben om de afstand af te leggen, daar waar een eerste klas of expresbus in twee uur je bestemming bereikt!
Voor en nadelen van reizen met de bus
De voordelen van reizen met de bus
- Bussen hebben meestal het breedste netwerk van bestemmingen. Ze reizen naar plaatsen waar je met het vliegtuig of zelfs met de trein niet kunt komen.
- Reizen met de bus is gemakkelijk, want je hoeft niet lang van tevoren in de busterminal te zijn, en het inchecken is meestal een zeer snelle formaliteit in tegenstelling tot reizen met het vliegtuig.
- Buskaartjes zijn zeer betaalbaar. Ja, er zijn dure eerste klas of VIP-opties, maar als je slechts een beperkt budget hebt, is de bus je beste keuze.
- Tegelijkertijd zijn er verschillende klassen van dienstverlening voor elk budget. Als je op zoek bent naar een hoger niveau van comfort, dan heb je hiervoor de keuze.
De nadelen van reizen met de bus
- Bepaalde busterminals kunnen zich buiten het stadscentrum in de buitenwijken bevinden. Dat betekent dat je rekening moet houden met extra tijd en geld om naar deze busterminals te reizen. Op bepaalde bestemmingen kan je dit meer geld kosten dan je zou verwachten, omdat slechts een beperkt aantal vervoersmaatschappijen de route mag bedienen en de prijzen kunnen zijn opgedreven.
- Tijdens drukke weekenden of in het hoogseizoen kunnen bussen die sommige toeristische bestemmingen verzorgen, volgeboekt zijn en moet je van tevoren reserveren.
- Hoewel bussen niet zo afhankelijk zijn van het weer als veerboten, kunnen busreizen ook worden vertraagd of geannuleerd als gevolg van slecht weer of wegomstandigheden. Houd hier rekening mee als je tijdens bepaalde seizoenen of naar bepaalde bestemmingen reist.

Rafal BAlles leek in orde aan het begin maar uiteindelijk kwamen we 2 uur later aan in Samloem dan aangegeven, we hebben meer dan 1 uur gewacht op de ferry terwijl andere firma's vertrokken. Op de pier was er geen teken van de firma iedereen leek zo gedesoriënteerd en moest rondvragen, de ferry ging ook eerst naar 2 Koh Rong pieren en stopte dan in Samloem (de ferry reis in totaal was meer dan 1,5 uur). Je kan misschien beter kijken voor aparte bus en boot in plaats van 45$ te betalen voor een vlotte transfer en aankomst in Samloem die je niet krijgt (ook deze prijs inc retourticket dus hou daar rekening mee als je terugkomt).

Yvonne HZeer comfortabel en superschoon minibusje van Sihanoukville naar Phnom Penh met Wlan en airco. We waren maar met twee passagiers. Overgestapt op een bus in Phnom Penh, moesten daar ongeveer een uur wachten wat geen enkel probleem was. Bus was ook comfortabel met veel ruimte. Bij de grens wisten we niet echt wat er aan de hand was, maar alles werkte goed en was voor ons geregeld. Maak je geen zorgen als ze je paspoort innemen, ze regelen alles voor je. We kwamen ongeveer een uur te laat aan in Ho Chi Minh door het weer en het verkeer.
Al met al was het een goede reis zonder negatieve aspecten.

That portion of the trip took over 6 hours, which might have been due to the multiple stops the driver made: I counted at least four restroom stops, not to mention the extra passenger drop offs.

Hannah KI booked my ticket so that I would arrive in Siem Reap for 7.30pm however when I reached my transfer in Phnom Penh they told me I would have to wait until 4.30pm for my bus meaning that I wouldn’t arrive until around 10pm. When I questioned this as there was an earlier bus leaving which would have got me to Siem Reap on time the employee just looked at me and laughed. There was no explanation as to why my arrival time was pushed back 2.5hrs and this caused a lot of stress as I was unsure if my hostel reception would still be open on my arrival. I understand that sometimes things change but to have someone laugh in my face and give no explanation was not acceptable in my eyes.

Moritz SAfter taking the boat we needed to waiting for 1.5 hours to get into the bus. After arriving in Phnom Penh we needed to change busses and needed to wait for another hour for it. So we arrived almost 2 hours later then expected and it was just because of the long waiting-times. The busses do not have any leg room if you’re a bit tall so it was not comfortable at all.

olivia Itook way longer than it said. went from sihanoukville to siem reap, it said 9 hrs but it was 12. we were in a decent sized mini bus to phenom penh but then they moved us to a tiny mini bus with not enough room for everyone and their bags. there were bugs in the bus too. the bus driver stopped every 20 minutes, even after everyone on the bus kept asking if he could just carry on driving because we were already late and he just laughed in our faces. wouldn’t recommend.

Kevin BWe paid a little more than we needed to because the transport was advertised as a “comfort minibus”, the photo also appeared to show a type of vehicle that we’ve been happy travelling on before. What we actually got was a regular minivan. I hate minivans, they are the worst kind of transport going for a long journey. They pack you in like sardines, they struggle to fit everybody’s luggage in, the seats are too close together and there is little leg room. In fact, if you end up in the row behind the driver, there is no leg room at all. They are ok for short journeys but are very uncomfortable for longer journeys. I would not have booked this had I known in advance.

nieztego Mixed experience. First part from Hcmc to pp went very smooth, all on time, stops exactly as promised, immigration went very quick also due to help from a driver. Second part from pp to Sihanouk not so good, i was placed in a van and waited there for about an hour until other passengers arrived. We had a substantial delay (1.5 h) and the driver drove very dangerously for about 30 minutes.

Aksel RFirstly our driver almost fell asleep several times on the way, as he swerved across the road multiple times. We had to wake him up and keep him awake for the whole trip, which was really scary as we feared for our lives.
Secondly our ferry didn’t go our destination at Sok San. It only sailed to Long Set Pier, which is on the opposite site of the island. They said it was the mistake of 12GO as their company didn’t sail to that port. Therefore we had to catch a taxi to get us across the island which costed 20 USD and a lot of trouble.

It was a very smooth ride, was perfectly organized, we even departed a bit earlier because everyone was there in time. The drivers were super nice, the van had an AC, the ferry departed just in time and we got there as planned. Could only recommend!
