De prijs van je busreis hangt af van zowel de bestemming als de klasse van je ticket. We willen je erop wijzen dat niet alle ticketklassen beschikbaar zijn op bepaalde routes, maar voor langere reizen is er bijna altijd een goede keuze beschikbaar. Kies voor een slaapbus voor de meest comfortabele reis met overnachting. Slaapbussen zijn meestal uitgerust met ligplaatsen of zachte stoelen met verstelbare rugleuning, hebben een toilet aan boord en je ticket kan ook andere extra's bevatten zoals snacks of zelfs een lunch of avondmaaltijd. Een nachtbus nemen is ook een goed idee als je wilt besparen op je hotelkamer. Overdag is een expresbus vaak het voordeligst, omdat deze minder vaak stopt dan een gewone of standaardklasse bus. Dit betekent dat je sneller op je bestemming aankomt. Op sommige routes kan het van cruciaal belang zijn om de juiste klasse te kiezen, want een gewone of tweede klas bus kan bijvoorbeeld 6 uur nodig hebben om de afstand af te leggen, daar waar een eerste klas of expresbus in twee uur je bestemming bereikt!

De voordelen van reizen met de bus
- Bussen hebben meestal het breedste netwerk van bestemmingen. Ze reizen naar plaatsen waar je met het vliegtuig of zelfs met de trein niet kunt komen.
- Reizen met de bus is gemakkelijk, want je hoeft niet lang van tevoren in de busterminal te zijn, en het inchecken is meestal een zeer snelle formaliteit in tegenstelling tot reizen met het vliegtuig.
- Buskaartjes zijn zeer betaalbaar. Ja, er zijn dure eerste klas of VIP-opties, maar als je slechts een beperkt budget hebt, is de bus je beste keuze.
- Tegelijkertijd zijn er verschillende klassen van dienstverlening voor elk budget. Als je op zoek bent naar een hoger niveau van comfort, dan heb je hiervoor de keuze.
De nadelen van reizen met de bus
- Bepaalde busterminals kunnen zich buiten het stadscentrum in de buitenwijken bevinden. Dat betekent dat je rekening moet houden met extra tijd en geld om naar deze busterminals te reizen. Op bepaalde bestemmingen kan je dit meer geld kosten dan je zou verwachten, omdat slechts een beperkt aantal vervoersmaatschappijen de route mag bedienen en de prijzen kunnen zijn opgedreven.
- Tijdens drukke weekenden of in het hoogseizoen kunnen bussen die sommige toeristische bestemmingen verzorgen, volgeboekt zijn en moet je van tevoren reserveren.
- Hoewel bussen niet zo afhankelijk zijn van het weer als veerboten, kunnen busreizen ook worden vertraagd of geannuleerd als gevolg van slecht weer of wegomstandigheden. Houd hier rekening mee als je tijdens bepaalde seizoenen of naar bepaalde bestemmingen reist.

Joyce SBus kwam eerst een uur te laat. Werd ook niet doorgeven optijd pas als je aankomt. Vervolgens stopt hij na 15 minuten met rijden en gaat een half uur stil staan? Waarom weten we niet. Best krap om te liggen en de stoel heeft maar 1 stand wat niet echt comfortabel ligt.

Peter SWeinig geslapen, amper een uur, eerste chauffeur reed ongelooflijk bruut. Plus hij noemde mijn vrouw, die enkele bedden verder lag steeds baby. Vroeg ook of ze wel ok was zonder haar man en trok regelmatig het gordijn open om te vragen of alles “ok” was. Echt een onbeschofte kerel. Tweede chauffeur reed veel rustiger, een groot verschil. Op de vorige bus van HB sliepen we wel behoorlijk goed, dus elke bus is niet hetzelfde.

Elliott AThe first bus smelt but was a decent. The second bus was alright but a bit dirty. The third transport was TERRIBLE. We were sent a 6 seater car to take 6 people (and luggage) but you forgot that the driver was the 7th person, so there was not enough room for all of us. The couple who was with us had to sit on their legs. It was lucky that one of the couples spoke English because the drivers were not helpful at all. We were not happy with your service or drivers at all.

Jenna HWe got picked up over an hour late with zero information or anyone to ask, that didn't bother us too much, but we were the first ones there and the last one on the bus as 3 arrived at the same time and there were no one giving any information, and it was a different bus company to the one that was on our ticket. As we were the last ones on the bus we got the back of the bus and these cabins were quite a bit smaller than the others. Also no TVs , it's just a picture in a frame

Karen JWe were at time at Mike‘s Agency and the Bus driver arrived also 10 minutes early, and we thought, “great, we’re leaving now”. But that wasn’t really the case, because he brought us to another bus station and we had to get off the bus to wait for the right one, a coworker pointed us the bus and said “this is your bus” but another coworker said you have to wait first and then we were confused. Then I became a WhatsApp message from the company that it said that we had a large amount of luggage and we had to pay 200.000 VND, I sent a screenshot of the voucher where it said that every passenger was allowed two pieces luggage 20kg, and we had 4 luggage. We didn’t get an answer and we were able to board the bus, which had been there for 20 minutes. We had a bad experience with 12GO,

THOMAS VWe started 30 minutes earlier and we arrived around 1 hour earlier.The bus was looking new, the cabins were clean and well equipped with different lights, 2 cold air blowers, a blanket, a pillow, a bottle of water and a massage remote. Didn't manage to operate the TV though. The side window is very big and the bed is very comfortable. Didn't manage to catch too much sleep because the road was bumpy and the driver was talking many times loudly.

Gabriel GIt was super uncomfortable. We had the last cabins and they were small and it did not work properly to flat the seat.
On the other hand, we forgot a bag at the pick up and they managed to get it before leaving ha Giang. If it was not for that it would be 1 star only.
It also stop A LOT in the middle of the road with no reason.

Dylan DThey made is come 1 hour before departure because we were going to leave sooner only to wait 1h in the bus for 1 late comer and departure was even ́later then the initial hour. Staff unfriendly. WiFi was bad, bluethooth didn't work and the two stops were way too little.

Nick AOverall, it was good. The cabins were clean on the surface and there were no problems with our luggage (2 big suitcases). The driver was nice and drove reasonably. No honking, but sometimes he drove really fast.
We had 1 stop after only 30mins of driving and then no other stop until 6am.
But we could sleep well in the bus. However, in one of our cabins the bed was broken so you couldn’t change the position of the backrest.
The bus was also 1 hour late and the Wifi did NOT work but that seems to be normal here. Also, there were random people sleeping on the floor for a few hours in the middle of the night. They were gone by the morning. Then, after our morning stop, we were asked to move to one cabin together for the remaining 2 hours of the ride. The other cabin was then occupied by 3 new passengers.
But overall, it was a surprisingly good way of transportation.

Michaela BOne of the cabin we booked was smaller in the end of bus, so it was not very comfy for 170cm tall person. Drive was shorter by 3h which we didn’t mind but the drivers just wake you up and rush you out of the bus so they can continue and finish the trip. We where in some random bus stop (either way we would take taxi from other bus stop) but just to organize ourselves better for future, we will not count with drop off point for 100%

Christine RIn general, all was fine, the bus was comfortable and clean. Water was provided and there was a toilet on the bus.
But even though we arrived 2 hours early (5:30 am) in Hue, we were urged to get off the bus in a hurry, so we could not even check, where we were. The dropoff was some 8 km from the named dropoff (we had a hotel booked in walking distance but needed a taxi, as the actual dropoff was so far away).
Anyway, we were happy the driver woke us in Hue, as we were so early, we would have missed the exit otherwise.

Vivien BThe drivers where talking very loud, honking a lot and the beds where way to small for europeans. Almost impossible to sleep. Never take a 34 sleeper again. Try a 22 sleeper! The bus was late and made us walk to an other pick up with our lagguage, disappointing. We arrived a little early though which was great.

Christian MIt was good a good coordination, comfortable, on time and we arrived one hour earlier. It was our first sleeping bus experience and we arw abolutly happy about this decision.

Clifford SCan't complain. About as comfortable as a sleeper bus could be. Arrived early, relatively smooth ride. Could have used one more pitstop. USB port wasn't working. Also no instructions for TV. Massage cushions were a nice touch. Much better than Futa, worth the extra cost. Only real problem was that pickup point was changed after I went to original location but new pickup was right next to my hotel so I wasted money on two Grab rides.

Deborah NThe organisation of the transfer was excellent, and they took extra care of me after I informed them that I was injured. The seats were comfortable; however, there was a really bad smell of mould, which made the 12-hour journey quite unpleasant. Usb charger also not working on my seat, and light not working on my husband seat.

Moritz SWe started off with a 45 minute delay. We then stopped at a random location where the bus driver and the manager got off for 15/20 minutes without giving us any reason for the stop. Throughout the journey to Hue we stopped at many different locations where they picked up or delivered packages through which we accumulated an additional one hour delay.
At Hue we arrived 2 hours later than expected, not because of traffic (because there was none), but because of poor planning and the many different stoppages. In addition there were few toilet breaks for the 12h ride (which was supposed to be 10h).
The driving of the bus driver was great tho and the little cabins were alright too.

Guillaume DComfortable bus ride. The bus was ready on time. The bus departed on time. The bus mainly traveled on the highway. This made the bus ride comfortable. We slept reasonably well. We had a transfer at a parking lot along the highway. The bus arrived at its destination an hour early.

Jessica FDrivers smoked inside the bus during the entire overnight trip. This caused serious health issues (asthma, fever, lung infection). The company denied it despite evidence. Would not recommend.

Zainab ZCar was okay, journey was nice and driver made a stop for us too - they were running late which is understandable - as they collect several people from their hotels- we thought collection was from 1 location but were pleasantly surprised to learn they would collect us from our hotel - we waited maybe 20 mins over the expected time but the staff from the office came down on their bike to reassure us which was lovely.

Ana AWe had a problem with on of our cabins, we bought 3 VIP Cabin and one of the cabin was shorter with no place for the legs. When I asked to change, drivers invited us to go out from the bus if we were not happy. At the end they accept that we change to a more comfortable cabin, but this was a very bad experience.

Nicole TI took the 8 PM cabin bus from Ninh Binh to Phong Nha. Communication was great, I got a WhatsApp message the day before asking where the shuttle should pick me up. The shuttle brought us about 15 minutes to the bus office. The bus left around 30 minutes late, but we still arrived in phong nha on time. The also loaded a bunch of styrofoam boxes into the bus which made very little room for our bags. There is only one bathroom stop for the whole 6 hour trip, and it was literally 10 minutes in. So we went 5.5 hours with no toilet break. Fine if you’re sleeping or dehydrated, but I imagine it can be tough for some people. Otherwise, bus was very clean, company seemed organized, and arrived on time.
