TripAdvisor lists four Thai beaches in Asian top 10

Travellers’ reviews posted up on website TripAdvisor have rated four Thai beaches as among Asia’s Top 10. All four of the beaches listed in the Travellers' Choice awards are located in the southern Krabi-Phuket region of Thailand.

Phuket’s Nai Harn Beach and Kata Noi Beach placed third and eighth respectively. Over on Krabi, Railay Beach and Phra Nang Beach came in seventh and ninth. The winner of the TripAdvisor Asian beach category was the beautiful stretch of sands called White Beach on Boracay Island in the Philippines.

A director with the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Pichaya Saisaengchan, said beaches facing the Andaman Sea were famed all over the world. The director added that recognition by international travellers and TripAdvisor was a testament to the beauty of this part of the world and its abundant attractions.

TripAdvisor’s annual awards cover numerous travel related categories and are based on reviews by holidaymakers over the preceding 12 months. In the northern hemisphere it is the middle of winter and TripAdvisor’s marketing division manager, Barbara Messing, said it is the ideal time to release a list of dream beaches.
