Big plans of Thai Airports in New Year

In the next year 6 Airports of Thailand in Bangkok, Phuket, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai and Songkhla plan to expand to meet the growing demand of passengers.

In the next year 6 Airports of Thailand in Bangkok, Phuket, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai and Songkhla plan to expand to meet the growing demand of passengers.

The expansion of Suvarnabhumi Airport in Thai capital should be completed in 2017 yearб it should increase Airport's capacity to 60 million passengers. The second Terminal of Don Muang Airport in Bangkok will be reopened in the next year, only 30-40% of of the airport is in now in use. Its estimated capacity should be 30 million. The passenger Terminal will be opened at Phuket International Airport in the middle of 2014 year and will lift its capacity to 12,5 million passengers. 

In the next year Chiang Mai International Airport should become the Northern transport hub of Thailand by means of improvement its capacity and expansion of flight network. Mae Fah Luang Airport in Chiang Rai and Hat Yai Airport in Songkhla will be upgraded in 2014 year also.
