Hanoi tourism bureau inaugurates second information centre

Tourist authorities in Hanoi have launched a second information office in the city’s historic Hoan Kiem District. The new centre is located at 28 Hang Dau Street and offers a full collection of information, services and even free guided tours on certain days of the week.

Staff manning the facility provide complimentary maps in addition to stocking a diverse collection of flyers and leaflets for tourist attractions, sightseeing tours, restaurants, hotels and guest houses. The office also offers reservations services for tours with recommended travel partners.

An additional service on offer is complaints handling. Visitors who believe they have been overcharged or cheated in any way are able to lodge complaints at the tourist centre.

The Hang Dau office is a sister facility to one at the Emperor Ly Thai Flower Gardens which opened in 2015. Hoan Kiem is located beside a lake of the same name and is the Old City quarter and hub of the historic French colonial zone of Hanoi.

A varied collection of accommodation, great nightlife and dining plus attractions like the Thang Long Water Puppet Theatre and the Vietnamese National History Museum have made the quarter a must visit for domestic and international visitors alike.
