Enjoying the Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh train journey in the lap of luxury

The Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City train journey is one of the most sought after experiences for international tourists coming to Vietnam. Riding the so-called Reunification Express has almost evolved into a rite of passage for young and old alike.

The Violette carriage is a recent addition to some of the trains and provides enhanced comfort for travellers. The carriages are split up into four-berth cabins with two upper and two lower bunks. Bonus features when compared to standard class carriages include efficient air-conditioning, snacks, drinks, personal steward service and comfortable bedding and mattresses.

Journey times between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City are 30 hours plus and it pays to invest a little to enjoy the trip with a few added extras. Travellers also have the option of breaking up their journeys with stopovers in locations such as Hue, Danang or Nha Trang on the way.

12GO offers the utmost convenience and reassurance when buying advance tickets for travel on trains in Vietnam. We provide the choice of buying Violette and standard class train tickets or bus and aeroplane tickets. We offer something to suit all budgets and destination requirements.
