Cruise&Flight Packages to Be Introduced for Tourists in Cambodia

Cambodian Ministry of Tourism will create special joint tourist packages that will include cruise voyages to Sihanoukville followed by a direct flight to Siem Reap.

According to the Ministry, such packages will help increase the average length of stay in the country, allowing visitors to enjoy the beach and the sea in Sihanoukville and embark on a sightseeing tour in the archeological park of Angkor later.

Currently there are four airlines serving SihanoukvilleSiem Reap route. They are Angkor Air, Cambodia Airways, JC Airlines, and Lanmei Airlines. Currently many tourists arriving to Sihanoukville by cruise do not continue their journey to other parts of Cambodia. Creation of cruise and flight packages will encourage tourists to spend more time in the Kingdom and visit other provinces, too.

Lately, Cambodia is putting efforts in developing cruise tourism. During the first months of 2019, 35 cruise ships called to Sihanoukville’s port, Cambodia’s only deep-sea harbour. Together they brought to Sihanoukville 50,000 tourists.
