Hoi An to Offer Free Admission. But Only One Day

The Ancient City of Hoi An together with Thanh Ha pottery village, both located in Vietnam's central coastal province of Quang Nam, will offer free admission to visitors on December, 4

The ticket giveaway will celebrate the 19th universary of Hoi An's recognition as the UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999.

The current price of entrance tickets to Hoi An Ancient Town is VND80,000/VND120,000 for Vietnamese and foreign tourists respectively. To visit Thanh Ha pottery village, local tourists pay VND15,000 while foreigners shell out VND25,000.

Hoi An's mix of French Colonial influence and traditional Vietnamese customs never fail to enchant visitors. The city can be recognised for its lantern-lit streets, delicious coffee, and tailoring shops, but its culture is far more deep-rooted than that. Hoi An’s history and heritage dates back to the Cham people who lived more than 2000 years ago and you can visit their ancient ruined city, My Son, just an hour away, nicknamed the Angkor Wat of Vietnam.

Hoi An is a picturesque ride away from Hue via the iconic Hai Van Pass. The nearest airport is in Danang, just under an hour drive from the centre of town. There are regular flights to both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh. Alternatively, Hue sitting on the Reunification railway line, can be reached via a railway journey.
