Chiang Mai restores public transport

The Governor of Chiang Mai, Suriya Prasartbandit reported, that to ease traffic in the city and reduce congestions on the roads 12 new commuter routes to be opened on 1 August.

The Governor of Chiang Mai, Suriya Prasartbandit reported, that to ease traffic in the city and reduce congestions on the roads 12 new commuter routes to be opened on 1 August. They will be operated with 550 vehicles namely red-coloured wagons known as song-tew. They will work from 5AM to 8PM with a fee just 20 baht. Six air-conditioned buses from Chiang Mai municipality also will work at the same time, but the price for one ride will be 15 baht.

12 new public transportation routes in Chiang Mai:

1. Chiang Mai University-Anusawari Sam Kasat (Three Kings Monument)-Kard Luang- Arcade Bus Terminal
 2. Huay Kaew-Kad Suan Kaew shopping mall-Chang Puak Bus Station-Kard Luang-train station-Arcade
3. Chang Puak Bus Station-Tha Phae-airport
4. Chang Puak Bus Station-Nimmanhaemin-Suan Dok-airport
5. Chang Puak Bus Station-Central Festival shopping mall-Promenada shopping mall-airport
6. Chang Puak Bus Station-Waroros market-Suan Dok-Robinson shopping mall- Samoeng intersection

7. Chang Puak Bus Station-Anusawari Sam Kasat-Waroros market-Sam Yak market
8. Chang Puak Bus Station-government complex-700 Year Stadium-Nakhon Ping hospital
9. Chang Puak Bus Station-Waroros market-Nong Hoi- Sarapee district office
10. Chang Puak Bus Station-Waroros market-train station-Ban Buak Krok
11. Chang Puak Bus Station-Night Bazaar- Montfort primary school- governor's residence- Yupparat
