WhatsApp Service Is Launched for Etihad Airways Passengers

Passengers of Etihad Airways are now able to communicate with the airline online via WhatsApp at Abu Dhabi International Airport with the new service launched recently.

Currently the service is in its initial tiral phase with Etihad Airways WhatsApp number only shown in Premium Check-In area. If the initiative proves to be a success all passengers will get an access to the service.

The service allows passengers to communicate instantly with customer service agents to solve problems and get answers on the spot. Later on, passengers will be able to choose an option to receive important notifications via the application including flight reminders, flight status, change of the border gates, etc.

According to the airline, this new business solution will provide passengers with an important possibility of immediate contact with the airline. The airline has chosen to rely on WhatsApp messenger as it is one of the most widely used messengers around the globe and many passengers are already using it in their daily lives. Thus it will only be natural to use it for getting important information about their air journey, too.

With a vast network of route on all the inhabited continents, Etihad Airways is often the airline of choice for travellers from around the world on their way to Southeast Asia. In SEA, Etihad Airways fly to Phnom Penh in Cambodia, Jakarta in Indonesia, Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, Yangon in Myanmar, Manila in the Philippines, Singapore, Bangkok and Phuket in Thailand, and both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam.
