Nok Air closed flights from Chiang Mai to Mae Hong Son

Local Thai budget airline Nok Air reported the canceling direct flights from Chiang Mai to the deep northern province Mae Hong Son.

Local Thai budget airline Nok Air reported the canceling direct flights from Chiang Mai to the deep northern province Mae Hong Son. The declining popularity of destination, as well as the high economic costs have prompted Nok Air to cancel flights from 30 March.

The carrier was the only one was operating Chiang Mai Mae Hong Son route, at first the flights were offered three times a week, later – one time a week. Now only charters are available to this direction. As the airline reported, it plans to reopen the route later with another aircraft, as the using of Boeing 737 is  unprofitable.
