Penang’s geographical position at the crossroads in theregion not to mention its World Heritage Status, original culture, distinctive architecture and universally recognized cuisines helps to increase the passenger flow. Penang’s cosmopolitan society has a lot of celebrations and festivals every year, to mention just a few: the Chinese New Year, Deepavali, Vaisakhi, Songkran, Chrisnmas and becoming more popular Oktoberfest and St. Patrick’s Day. Seven million visitors arrived at the island last year by air.
