Curtains to close on Cambodia film fest in Phnom Penh

Today is the penultimate day of the Cambodia International Film Festival 2017 edition in Phnom Penh. This morning saw a screening of Cartoons Of The World Adults at the Legend City Mall while the final two days features a varied choice of films covering a range of genres.

The organisers have added extra films to the timetable. The first is Little Gems and this will air at 16:00 today at Chaktomuk Hall. The French Institute is the venue for Beautiful Planet: Rivers Of Life at 19:45 today. Tomorrow’s three additional films are Moonlight, The Forest Whispers and Indonesia's acclaimed Solo, Solitude.

The extra screenings come on top of scheduled films such as the 1980 WWII drama The Last Metro starring Gerard Depardieu and Catherine Deneuve and the 2016 Thai film BKKY. The seventh Cambodia International Film Festival launched last Friday with Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie assuming the honorary role of patron.

The film fest organisers say tickets for the remaining films are available on the door at the venues 30 minutes beforehand and cost US$1.25. Along with Siem Reap, Phnom Penh is a major Cambodian cultural hub. 12GO ASIA offers varied ticketing choices for travel to these two cities from locations all over Southeast Asia.
