Vietnam to promote attractions of seaside province Khanh Hoa

Vietnam’s prime-minister has ordered provincial authorities in Khanh Hoa to promote and develop tourism resources. Nguyen Xuan Phuc presided over a brainstorming meeting with delegates and afterwards said the central province’s natural draws and tourism sites could well chip in 20 per cent towards its annual product.

The stunning coastal town of Nha Trang is the centrepiece of the Khanh Hoa attractions and became a member of the exclusive Most Beautiful World Bays Club four years ago. He noted that the province needed to manage its attractions so they did not get spoilt and also helped local residents enjoy a better quality of life.

Scores of islands seemingly untouched by modern development dot the offshore waters of Nha Trang, Cam Ranh and Khanh Hoa. The best known of these is Hon Tre Island and the home of the exciting Vinpearl Nha Trang Bay Resort.

Current projections for tourism in Khanh Hoa show it could be welcoming 10 million visitors a year by 2020. Nguyen Xuan Phuc says Khanh Hoa could tap into Da Lat’s expertise and establish organic farms which would provide greater self-sufficiency and support growing numbers of tourists.

Nha Trang and Khanh Hoa are located in Southern Vietnam and easily reached from Ho Chi Minh City, Da Lat and Phan Thiet. 12GO ASIA offers ticketing services on key tourism routes in this area of Vietnam.
