Phuket Ao Po Marina gets ready for 2nd Thailand Yacht Show

The management team at Phuket’s Ao Po Grand Marina are busy putting the final touches to the arrangements for the Thailand Yacht Show. The second edition of the event will be staged between 15 and 18 December and comes just after the racing for the Phuket King's Cup Regatta concludes this Saturday.

Leading yacht names at the show will include Leopard Catamarans and Simpson Marine. The Ocean Emerald, a gem of marine design from Norman Foster, the Galeon 460 Flybridge and SanLorenzo’s Forwin super yacht are all scheduled to drop in for the happening event.

Managing-director Andy Treadwell says the event showcases the wonderful maritime environment of Phuket and the Andaman Sea region of southern Thailand. He continued by saying that the show would help cement the locality’s blossoming reputation as the place to be for yachting aficionados.

The Thailand Yacht Show comes right in the middle of Phuket Island’s traditional peak holiday season. 12GO ASIA says people heading to Phuket, Koh Phi Phi, Krabi or Trang for the forthcoming festive season should make their travel reservations without delay.
