Checkpoints between Thailand and Cambodia work longer

According to Teerat Rattanasevi, the Thai government spokesman, the working time of checkpoints on the border between Thailand and Cambodia was prolonged. It should promote the tourism and trade between border provinces.

According to Teerat Rattanasevi, the Thai government spokesman, the working time of checkpoints on the border between Thailand and Cambodia was prolonged. It should promote the tourism and trade between border provinces.

Now checkpoints open at 6:00AM and close at 10:00PM. Before they worked from 7:00AM to 8:00PM. New schedule is actual for five points such as Ban Chong Chom in Kap Choeng district of Surin, Ban Hat Lek in Klong Yai district of Trat province, Ban Laem and Ban Phak Kat in Pong Nam Ron district of Chanthaburi, Ban Klong Luek in Aranyaprathet district of Sa Kaew province.

It might require more officials in the checkpoints and some of them, which have no enough staff, will work according to the old schedule.
