Although the doorway to the Upside Down House leads visitors into what should be ground level, everything inside is upside down. Beds, chairs, a refrigerator and a toilet are among the standard household fixtures which are inverted and above head height on a stroll through the house.
The house is designed to give a feeling of disorientation. A gyroscope swing and the leaning castle are among the already finished attractions in the gardens guaranteed to confuse visitor’s perceptions of normality. Crazy bicycles, a WC with transparent windows and an upside down tuktuk three-wheeler taxi are in the finishing stages.
Pattaya Upside Down House offers views towards Khao Chichan Mountain and is near Silverlake Vineyard. Pattaya’s version of this peerless design is Thailand’s second. Phuket’s Baan Teelanka, or Upside Down House, has evolved into one of the most visited sites on the southern Thai island.
