Siem Reap hotel one of the top TripAdvisor options in the world

A boutique hotel in the Cambodian town of Siem Reap has been named the second best in the world by the TripAdvisor community. The Shinta Mani Resort snapped up second place in the 2016 Travellers’ Choice Awards and was pipped to the post by a maharaja’s palace in India.

The award winners for the Top 25 hotels in the world placed the Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur first. After the Shinta Mani, the Bellevue Syrene in the Italian resort of Sorrento was third and was followed by Hanoi’s La Siesta Hotel. The Achtis Hotel in Afitos, Greece came fifth.

The winners of the annual Travellers’ Choice Awards are based on reviews posted by TripAdvisor’s community members. They look at factors such as the quality of the accommodation, how good the service is and their relative value for money.

According to the reviews, the Shinta Mani is gorgeous and serene plus the staff go out of their way to enhance the guest experience. The hotel is 10kms from Angkor Wat’s amazing temples. 12GO ASIA offers a convenient source for tickets on the Phnom Penh-Siem Reap route on Giant Ibis luxury buses.
