AirAsia Allows Passengers to Change Tickets for Select Flights Free of Charge

AirAsia's customers who booked flights to/from select destinations, including China, Hong Kong, Macau, Japan, Korea and Taiwan now can apply for credit for their international flight bookings until 30 April after the airline extended the period for obtaining credit.

Those customers who are unable to travel due to their
– recent travel history,
– nationality or
– the travel restrictions imposed by various governments
will get support from the airline.

Now AirAsia offers a one-time flight change: customers can move their flight to a new travel date on the same route within 90 calendar days from the original date of the flight. Such change will be allowed without any additional cost provided there are available seats on the chosen flight.

The other option provided by the airline is to get credit for such flights to the customer's account. To retain the value of the fare is possible provided you have an AirAsia BIG Loyalty account. The credit can be further used for future travel with AirAsia. The online credit account should be redeemed for booking with the airline within 180 calendar days from the date of issue. The actual travel dates should not necessarily fall within this period and can be any time after the expiry date of the credit provided the flight schedule is already out.

The two above mentioned options are offered only for tickets booked directly via airasia.com before March, 8 for travel before April, 30.
