The event will take place at the Lakeside, IMPACT Muang Thong Thani and attempt to break the current Guinness World Record set in Florida, United States on 29 March, 2014 when 121 food trucks joined the festival. It is expected that the Bangkok's parade will feature over 200 food trucks – so the Guinness World Record will be broken.
The event goes in line with a larger initiative to promote gastronomy tourism in Thailand and inspire travellers to visit more of local communities in search of signature dishes and delicacies. Minister of Tourism and Sports shared as well that “The government also wants to elevate Thai street food to the food truck model."
Thai street food is celebrated internationally and is an essential part of any traveller's experience. It enjoys great reputation for quality, taste, price and hygiene. No wonder that Thailand is often touted as the world’s number one street food destination.
Besides the parade of food trucks, the program of the event will include a food truck festival with mini concerts, lucky draws, food truck contests and speed eating contests.

The Food Truck Club (Thailand) with support of the country's Ministry of Tourism and Sports and the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) will organise “World’s Largest Parade of Food Trucks” from 7 to 8 March, 2020.
