The Lionsgate Entertainment World covers an area of 22,000 square metres and features about 30 interactive and immersive attractions for visitors. With a VR rollercoaster transporting visitors to ancient Egypt instantly and a world-first augmented reality 'Twilight' motorbike experience, the park is dubbed 'the world's first movie-themed multi-sensory interactive centre'.
Earlier this year, China's State Council proposed to turn Hengqin New Area into a prime destination for international tourism. Hengqin, or Ilha da Montanha, is an island in Zhuhai with a population of about 3,000. The opening of the new park has definitely given a boost to Hengqin's bid of becoming a prime tourist attraction in south China.
Besides the newly opened theme park, Hengqin's Southern Tourist Zone will feature six more sub-zones to attract visitors, including the seaside hotel area, natural tourist area, scenic area, water activities area, seaside Holiday Resort area, and golf course Holiday resort area.

China's first indoor VR theme park that opened its doors for the visitors on July 31 in the Hengqin New Area, Zhuhai, Guangdong Province, has since become a super popular tourist destination.
