A new route that connects Sydney and Denpasar was launched last week, August, 15.
The route will be served by a Boeing 737-800 aircraft seven times a week on a daily bases.
Flights leave Sydney Airport at 12.40 pm and land in I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport on Bali at 05.30 pm local time. The return flights are scheduled to leave for Sydney from Bali at 10.35 pm. Flying time is about three hours. Sydney is 2 hours ahead of Bali.
The new service of Malindo Air meets the growing demand of Australian tourists for travel to Bali. Prior to the introduction of Malindo Air's direct flights, Sydney-Denpasar route has been served by four other airlines.
Tourism Ministry of Indonesia eyes the launch of Malindo Air's Sydney–Bali service as a means for strengthening business relationships between Australia and Indonesia. Before the end of this year, Malindo Air will be able to carry some 23,472 passengers to Bali contributing to the fulfilment of Tourism Ministry's plan to attract 1.5 million Australian tourists in 2019.
