Krosa has already brought winds of up to 110 kilometres per hour with gusts reaching 160 kilometres per hour in the southern part of the Kyushu region. Waves in the Shikoku region reached the 10 metre hight. In certain areas, heavy rain will continue even after the storm moves away and overall precipitation is expected to reach 1,000 millimetres.
The major number of cancellations concerns flights between Tokyo's Haneda Airport and airports in western Japan. Japan Airlines cancelled more flights than other companies – 171 in total; All Nippon Airways, the largest airline in Japan, followed with 128 cancelled flights; Skymark, a domestic low-cost carrier, cancelled 78 flights. Other airlines that also had to interrupt their service include Jetstar, Peach Aviation, Japan Air Commuter, Solaseed Air, Fuji Dream Airlines, Star Flyer, AIRDO, AirAsia Japan, Japan Transocean Air, and Spring Airlines Japan.
