The four stations are the first part of a 14-km extension of the MRT Blue Line which will consist of 11 stations in total with the rest scheduled to open by the end of September.
The four new stations are Wat Mangkon, Sam Yot, Sanam Chai and Itsaraphap Stations all heading west from Hua Lamphong station.
Both Wat Mangkon and Sam Yot are located in China Town. The first one is in the very heart of China Town and thus very useful for tourists. The second one boats a museum-like design with a few historical photos of the neighbourhood.
Sanam Chai station is opposite Siam Discovery museum on Rattanakosin island and just a couple of steps away from the famous Wat Pho otherwise reachable by Chao Phraya boat. Grand Palace and the Temple of Emerald Buddha are within a walking distance from Sanam Chai, too.
Itsaraphap Station sits on the other side of the river in Thonburi. The station is decorated with mythicals swans (Hongsa) reflecting its vicinity to Wat Hongrattanaram. It is also a useful station for those heading to Wat Arun.

Bangkok's MRT Blue Line has got longer this week with four new stationed opened westwards from Hua Lamphong station making it more convenient to travel to Bangkok's China Town and Rattanakosin island.
