Special Route to Borobudur Temple for Foreign Tourists Coming Soon

A special tourist  route for foreign visitors will be opened in the Borobudur Temple Tourist Park in Magelang, Central Java. The park authorities assure the public they want to provide overseas visitors the best service to enhance their experience from visiting the park.

The new route is planned to be completed before the peak season that falls between July and October. It promises a safe, convenient and hastle-free way to the temple for the fereign tourists. The park authorities also believe that this novelty will help attract more visitors to the park. The route will connect the main gates of the park with the temple. On the way back, electric cars will be used for bringing tourists to the parking lots.

Beautiful Borobudur Temple has the claim to fame of being the largest Buddhist temple of its kind in the world and is located just outside the city of Yogyakarta in Central Java, Indonesia. As this is one of the most famous monuments in the country, no trip to Java is complete without taking in this amazing man-made wonder.

The closest airport, and the most convenient to get to Borobudur, is Adisucipto International Airport in the neighboring city of Yogyakarta. This has a range of domestic flights all over Indonesia as well as international flights to places like Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia as well as Singapore.

From Yogyakarta, there are regular public buses to Borobudur though travelling by a public bus requires changing buses two times. A less complicated way to reach Borobudur from Yogyakarta is to hire a private car or to join a minibus tour to the temple – both ways, it take about an hour to get there.
