Beach Bumming in Siem Reap? Yeah, Why Not?

Siem Reap, the gateway to the world-famous temples of Angkor, now calls all beach lovers, too. Siem Reap's first ever beach club resolves the problem of scorchingly hot afternoons.

Located some 8 km from Angkor Wat and only 500 m from Pub Street, Cambo Beach Club allows visitors to get a glimpse of beach life far from Sihanoukville and Kep in case you do not have time to go there. The club features a 30 metre long pool surrounded by Cambo's first man-made white sand beach with sunbeds, umbrellas and coconut trees. The beach club occupies an area of half a hectar and offers its visitors beach vibes and relaxing atmosphere of a seaside resort far from the shore.

The beach club opened in December and have already proven to be a success. The overwhelming majority of visitors of Angkor finish their tours shortly after midday and with Pub Street coming alive after dark, they have at least a couple of hours to while away – and the beach club does the trick here. It is quite affordable as well with daily passes sold at USD5 per person.

Currently, the place is not too crowded, either with between 60 to 70 people visiting daily except weekends when locals make a beeline to the beach and the number of visitors increases to 150-250. If you happen to be in the area, why not come here for a couple of lazy hours? We definitely will.
