The estimated cost of the project is two million US dollar excluding the cost of the land plot. The land plot itself will cover 5 hectar and will be located in Phnom Penh's satellite city of Chroy Changvar connected to Phnom Penh via the famous Cambodia-Japan Friendship Bridge built in 1966 and considered one of the most popular attractions in the capital city.
The Dino Park project is financed by the Overseas Cambodia Investment Corporation (OCIC) and will feature animatronic dinosaurs placed in a variety of habitats – from mountains to pastures, river valleys and plains. Construction works are already well under way since July this year and are expected to be over soon – early the next year the new park will be ready to welcome its first visitors.
The representatives of the Chroy Changvar Satellite City Development Project expect the Dino park will attract more tourists to the area and help boost local economy. Together with the recently built Ly Yong Phat’s Phnom Penh Safari World, also in Chroy Changvar, the Dino park will contribute to developing the district as a recreation zone.
The Safari World Phnom Penh offers visitors encounters with 800 animals including bears, ostriches, kangaroos, giraffes, tigers, dolphins and deer. There are also several shows on offer like crocodile shows, bird shows, orangutan shows and a tiger show.
Phnom Penh to Get Country's First Dino-Themed Park

Phnom Penh will get the country's first dino-themed park already in the beginning of 2019. It will be located in Chroy Changvar neighbourhood, some 5 km north of the city centre.
