Thawatchai Arunyik explained that the theme of the exhibition is the Human Ride Adventure. He added that as the organisers had chosen to stage it in Bangkok, it was a testament to the city’s standing in the regional technology field.
The organisers say there will be four sections at the exhibition and these are space technology, simulated rides, souvenir outlets and cafés. NASA spacecraft including Apollo as well as a reproduction of the Russian Sputnik will be set up in the technology zone.
The highlight of the rides is the G-Force Simulator. In the café, visitors can garner insights into the astronaut experience with the same meals that the likes of Neil Armstrong ate while they were in outer space.
A visit to this NASA exhibition will not be complete without taking home at least one souvenir. The range on offer is all space themed and includes Star Wars’ Angry Bird uniforms and keyrings.
The NASA Space Exhibition runs from 1 December through to 1 February 2015. Admission prices are THB500 per person and advance reservations can be made at designated outlets.

Thailand’s tourism bureau has just announced the NASA Space Exhibition is coming to Bangkok in December. The two-month-long space extravaganza will be held at the Central Plaza Ladprao’s convention centre and the Tourism Authority of Thailand’s governor says this is the first time this kind of event has ever been staged in Southeast Asia.
