Nok Air adds new Andaman Sea destination

Thai carrier Nok Air Has announced it is adding the southern Thai town of Satun to its network. In a press release, the airline says it will begin operating services from Don Muang Airport in Bangkok to Satun on 2 October 2014. 

TTR Weekly reported that the service is one of the carrier’s special Fly ‘n’ Ride services. On the outbound leg from Don Muang, passengers will first fly to Hat Yai and then board a Nok bus. The bus will go to Satun and then Tammalang Port, the boarding point for ferries across to Malaysia. 

The southbound flight is scheduled to leave Don Muang at 09:20 and arrives in Hat Yai at 10:45. The bus for Satun departs 30 minutes later and is scheduled to terminate at Tammalang Port at 13:15. The return service from the port leaves at 14:00 and arrives back in Bangkok at 18:45. 

With its Fly ‘n’ Ride services, Nok Air offers all-inclusive fares for the flight and bus. Passengers booking online pay for the complete journey. Satun is the main departure point for the lovely Adang Rawi Archipelago with islands such as Koh Lipe and Koh Tarutao fast becoming popular tourism hotspots.
