Digital Innovation Awards set a benchmark in Asian travel, we're proud to have picked up the trophy for the most impactful digital innovation, among a field of impressive finalists recently in Bangkok.

On Wednesday Night at the Digital Innovation Awards, 12Go picked up the award for the most impactful Digital Innovation at the 2014 Gala evening held at the Mansion Club in Bangkok’s RCA clubbing district. Beating dozens of other entries in the category, our new integrated transport booking website, proudly picked up the award in front of a large audience of travel professionals.

The company was praised for developing a service reckoned to truly change the lives and convenience of travellers in Southeast Asia. The other finalists in this competitive category were; Tripshow from China (blog aggregator), Savvy Mob from India,(last minute deals), Spotlly from Hong Kong (social network travel guides),Qraved from Indonesia (dining booking and review), bemyguest from Singapore(micro-business travel booking), trip38 from India (itinerary digital wallet)and Jetbay from China (travel guide).  

This is the second time the awards have been presented, with DIA founder Jens Thraenhart, presenting the awards to the winners. A host of big names in the travel industry were present. Other winners included Tourism Authority of Thailand with their Thailand Makeover Campaign (Most Engaging Digital Presence), Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts with their Tibet Pilgrimage (Most relevant Chinese presence), Local Alike.com with 100 Ideas  - 100 Cubes, soon to be seenin Bangkok - 1 m3 cubes designed by 100 artists to make the world better (Most socially responsible digital initiative), Mark Wiens from Migrationology.com with his 'Eating Thai Food Video Blog' (Best digital storytelling), and most importantly Khun Thapanee Kiapthaibool, Marketing Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (Top digital innovator). 

Picking up the award for 12go was development manager, Guido Neil.“It’s a great feeling to get recognition for all our hard work, the team have arrived at a satisfying point after a few years of developing secret, Alexey and Bogdan and others have really put in the hours to bring this vital service to the public”, he said afterwards.

New implementation rules in Kyoto, Japan: what you need to know?
